I was given a hand-me-down JVC AL-A95 turntable with a needle that was worn down to a nub. The AL-A95 is a cheap, consumer grade player and I didn't want to spend $60 to play records a few times a year. This cartridge is a perfect match in terms of quality to the original needle. After installing it, I played a few old 45s, and the sound quality was just fine (in fact, I was surprised at how good those old records still sound).

I thought my old mounting screws would work but they were too long. I sent it back and purchased a Audio Technica which had the mounting screws I needed

the cartridge with stylus is at a good price the set up was sample.just a thought do not forget too level your turntable after you put your cartridge on the music you hear well be right up there with the big ones take your time and do it right

I was worried that I might not be able to find a replacement cartridge for my old record player, but this fits and works good. My record player is back to working like new again.

Kids destroyed my original REGA cartridge and are still very young so I opted for a cheaper one. The 5-star review is taking into account the price of the item as the original was $125 more. If comparing regardless of price this would be a 2 star as the REGA cartridge has FAR superior sound. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone that's looking to save money and still be able to listen to their records.

Item resent quickly and light weight box inside envelope was also crushed. Product was not damaged and functions fine.

This fit perfectly on my technics SL-B2 turntable. EAsy, plug and play setup. Does not come with mounting hardware, so either keep the screws from your old cartridge, or you'll have to source some elsewhere. I'm sure it isn't "audiophile" quality, but I'm willing to bet this will work just fine for most home setup applications.
