Night and day difference in sound quality...don't think about it and just buy it!

I did not like the felt slipper mat that my new Yamaha TT-S303 turntable came with and after much research decided on trying an acrylic mat. I ordered this one from Fluance and a similar model from Hudson Hi Fi. The Fluance arrived yesterday and I did an audio comparison between it and the OEM felt mat. I used a selection of 70's and 80's rock, Modern Jazz and several classical recordings for my evaluation. With each LP there was a noticeable difference between both mats. The Fluance acrylic allowed a discernible sharpening and definition of the mid-range while also enhancing and broadening the lows and highs over the felt. I have a somewhat vintage system, a Yamaha RX-596 powering Klipsch SB-3's and the acrylic mat proved to be an excellent addition to this system. I was so pleased that I canceled the order for the Hudson mat. The frosted finish really looks cool on my all black turntable and the manufacture was spot on. Every one's system and especially everyone's ear is different so you may not achieve the same results as I did, but for me this was a real plus.

Bought one last month, June 2024, put it on Flu an e R84. Hooks up my 40 year old linear tracking Mitsubishi LT-22 couple of days ago, and it sounds great with new cartridge. For grins, swapped out acrylic platter on there. Right away, drums didn't slur (last as long?), is that tighter? Not an audiophile, but my wife heard it,too. I'm 71, she's 69, but both of us heard it, so must be something. Really wanted that thick one Flange has, but it's $120. This thin one actually has a better rating. I can't hear in restaurants, movies, or in crowds, but this sounds better to me. Crazy, right?

The primary reason I got this was that the felt mat on my Rega is a pet hair magnet. Awful for vinyl, worse for my allergies. And to that end, yes, it does precisely what I got it for. Does it make any difference on the sound? Heck if I know. But boy does it look hella fresh.

I really like how this looks but bought this to help me reduce static. It hasn’t really worked except for my newer records. Was really hoping this would work better.

While it’s priced a bit higher than others offered on Amazon, this platter mat offers the usual Fluance qualty. It’s slight recessed where the record label sits so the vinyl playing surface sits flat on the platter. It’s a translucent mat that matched the acrylic platter on my turntable. Dimensions were accurate and the center hole fit perfectly on the spindle.

I love the clarity using this mat. It seems to drastically reduce static, reducing background noise. Also super easy setup given how much improvement I got out of it.

This acrylic platter is awesome. Fluance really nailed it with those one. The quality is a 10/10 and this was anninstant upgrade to my sound quality. I've been using a cheaper acrylic one (also from Amazon) for a few months and it was ok but not amazing. This fluance is wayyy better. Look awesome one my all black pro-ject carbon as well :)

Non noto differenze a livello sonoro. Il pregio è la diminuzione di polvere trasferita al vinile

Came nicely packaged in a record sleeve, I was a bit apprehensive about what others were saying about tightening the Bass response but it actually does, also instruments sound more defined and spaced out, what I found most impressive is the static that I was experiencing has gone, this was the main reason for buying this mat and I'm not disappointed, the best upgrade you can get for a turntable and for not a lot of money, very pleased

First things first; this is partly on me. I was looking for a white slip mat/plate when I bought it and did so in kind of a rush. Yes, it does say frosted, not white, but the way it looks in reality is still a bit of a letdown.I use it on my AT-LP60XUSB, and if you look at the picture, it's pretty much completely see-through. Deducting one star for that, given that it's bright white in all of the pictures without any indication of the example products using some sort of extra gear that makes it appear more white than it is.Deducted the second star because of the packaging. Literally just a paper bag without any padding inside to prevent shipping damage. Granted mine was fine, but for a 50$ product, that's a bit disappointingStill, it behaves as advertised, being anti-static & reducing vibration, so in that regard, it's good.

This matt comes in a 12" sleeve that fits perfectly into you record collection. The matt is a hefty 244 grams so that helps add weight to the platter and stablize speed. There are many other benefits to acrylic matts so you can google or youtube search for answers. This matt has a nice color and matte finish with a subtle Fluance name etched in.This fits ALL standard turntables and the 3mm thickness means you have zero/minimal adjustment needed for your tonearm height. You can add another matt (like cork) underneath or on top of this matt but its not necessary.
