The sander has sufficient power for my needs. The deck on the disk sander is total garbage. Poorly engineered, very difficult to adjust, no matter how tight I try to get it, it still rocks, and it sits crooked across the sanding disk. Have not switched it to the belt yet, I am assuming it will be the same. If you need a deck that is secure enough for sanding miters, this is not the machine for you.

This guy made a recent project making wooden snowmen for Christmas so much easier. I was able to sand 40 snowmen in about a third of the time as last year. I used both the belt and disc and have no complaints. The belt stayed aligned once it was adjusted.
