Installation was easy for me, but I'm pretty handy and so drilling holes on a couple places on my generator frame was no big deal and it went together quickly. It might take others longer. But. once it's on, it stays on in the wind and the rain and snow and keeps the sun off of it. I keep my generator on a pad with this and the skirt on it. It wasn't longer before we had a power outage and it was pouring rain. This kept the generator and the control panel dry when starting it up and while it was running. You just open the top flap to add more gas when the rain slows down. I bought the Extreme version and it's still looking like new after being on for several months and some pretty harsh weather. We had one really windy day with high gusts and it held on just fine. I've been very impressed with the quality and design that went into this product.And, I actually got an email from the company asking what made generator I had so they could verify whether it would fit or if it would need special mounting brackets. I responded with the info and got an email back right away that it was a perfect fit and it shipped out that day. That kind of customer support is rare. They made sure I ordered the correct size and would get everything I needed for the model I had.

Great Product overall and the support was amazing, my box was missing the 4 rubber sleeves and I reached out to the customer service team and they were great, I received those missing items 2 days later.

Bought the GenTent xl for my champion tri fuel generator and it looks like a solid product. Not yet tried in harsh weather yet. The fit looks perfect and hoping it will protect in rain and snow.

Fit my large generator perfectly . Easy to follow instructions and easy to assemble. Sturdy material and the assembly pieces were also well made.My only complaint is that the bottom skirt doesn’t cover the entire generator but I suppose it’s to leave the motor exposed.

Living in SW Florida a generator is a must-have. When Ian hit in 2022 our generator ran for 7 + days waiting on power. We had wind, rain and sun beating on the outdoor generator.Didn't even know these generator tent covers existed, but prime-day sale caught my eye. The XL is heavy duty cover, and a great engineered mounting system. Especially like the fueling velcro flap, will keep the rain out when refueling.Like I said, hope I go years without needing this, but if I lose power again I wont worry about generator being subjected to the brutal elements while doing its job.The clear plastic outlet flap wasnt installed in my picture, as it was curled up in shipping and needed to acclimate before iI unrolled it. Great fit, and big help from mfg getting correct size and install tips.

This over fit my Generac 8000. I haven't had to use it with the unit running yet, but I believe it will work nicely, just from the way it fits.

This is my 4th gen tent, my other 3 are for Champion Inverters. It attaches easily to the frame and protects all the wiring plus provides clear viewing of my generator controls and gauges. Easy to fuel via the huge top flap. My experience is they are very reliable in high winds and protect from driving snow or rain.

This product is a mystery until you have a blackout and miserable weather. Then we' see how it performs. I have installed it on my Champion generator and the instructions are less than easy but I got it in the end. If you have the capacity to get your generator (portable) up on a work bench that makes things so much easier Getting it off is another matter. Good luck with that. All in all, it is very expensive for what you get. There are probably materials around your house that would allow you to fabricate adequate weather protection for your generator. Maybe find a used camping tent on Marketplace and adapt it. It is is very well made and I think it will perform as promised but weigh the cost.
