The working principle of GFCI is that when there is equipment leakage or human body gets an electric shock, part of the current flows into the ground, and when the current flowing through the live wire and the neutral wire is not equal (the normal situation is equal), the GFCI monitors the current difference between the live wire and the neutral wire. Once the difference is greater than 6mA, the power supply can be cut off at the moment of 0.025 seconds, so as to ensure the safety of people and property. In my garage and throughout my house I switched from 15 amp breakers to 20 amp breakers. Reason: the amount of electronic contraptions and changing fluorescent lighting and incandescent lighting to LED requires higher currents to operate. (Use electrician to deal with electrical issues)I have had all my 15 amp outlets replaced with these 20amp electrical outlets. They are multi use and function outlets. The USB and USB-C outlets are great for your electronic gizmos. In the kitchen use of cell, pad or laptop and can plug any or all into the outlet.New electrical precaution needed for this outlet, is it has to be mounted upside down so that the ground connection is at the top.
