GHS STRINGS - UNIQUELY FRESH

GHS Strings is not just an electric guitar string company – we're much more! We are the string brand inspiring you to play an extra encore. We are the string brand encouraging you to play harder, go longer. We are the string brand that's got you covered – whether you're playing electric or acoustic guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele and more.

BRIGHT BRONZE

Since 1964, we've been winding guitar strings in the same southwest corner of Michigan that gave birth to one of the most famous guitar brands. Though based in Battle Creek, we are global, but our values remain rooted in mid-western soil. We are fiercely independent – we are no-nonsense perfectionists believing in hard work, craftsmanship, and the power of music.

GHS Strings is a family of artists and experts built on tradition to help aid in the quest for personal string design and tone. To that end, we still use round core wire for much of our guitar strings and use some string specs decades old.

Edit: These hold up well and maintain their tone. I think they're to light for me because they go out of tune once in a while. Hard to believe they would still be stretching. These are a great alternative to Elixir nano web and they're inexpensive.Since string prices jumped to ridiculous levels I've been trying a ton of strings below the $7 mark--not many.I typically don't go this light (10-46), but looking for a bright string for an all mahogany 000 guitar I had limited options.I don't expect these to last very long given the guage, but fresh and stretched in, they're absolutely awesome.I love Elixir nanoweb 12's, but I can buy 4 sets of the GHS, have the tone and get more life. The GHS suprised me, I'm not sure how long before they go flat, but if they last 3 days with my heavy hand they'll replace Elixir's. I have 3 or 4 hours on these and they sound sweet.I also have a set of GHS 12-54 that will go on after these. The 10-46 have bite, decent bass, punchy, brightness for a small body warm wood guitar and well balanced. They obviously lack some of the volume or fullness of a heavier string, but the trade off is articulation.Great strings. Will easily last a gig, as I said, I have 3 to 4 hours on them and a heavy hand.

I play a Taylor 712ce-12fret. It's a Taylor, so it's bright, but not as bright as most Taylors. I love a bright sound, but these were a bit more than what I wanted. If you feel your acoustic is a bit too dark, I would recommend giving these a try.**The first time I bought from this seller the pack came with only one string! But I reached out to them and they made it right.

The ultra-lights made my guitar MUCH easier to play and I was surprised that these smaller strings even sound better than the huge "cables" my acoustic came with. I've used GHS strings on my electric guitars for many years and figured their acoustic strings would be good too - and they are. And the price is right too!! For people just learning the guitar, making it play easier is a huge help. And these ultra-light strings will do just that. I highly recommend them!!

I just bought a new Fender Newporter Acoustic Electric and it just didn't have a good, crisp tone as I thought it should, almost sounded muffled. I liked the set up out of the box so I figured I'd try GHS for once, glad I did. I usually really like the sound of Fender Acoustic strings but I don't know what they put on this guitar at factory but they sounded terrible. As I said I have never used GHS but thought I'd try something new. They are not as bright as the Martin Extra lights I normally get but nonetheless they are a 100% improvement than what came on guitar and are decent strings.

I put these on a Fender Guitar that has had issues with not being brightly toned.. The sound was good, just not bright and cheery.. WOW..! These strings are bright.! They bring the high's right up front.! Almost TOO Bright.! They are on the edge of twang, if hit hard... But all in all, I like what they do for that Fender Hot Rod, Acoustic/Electric Guitar... And I will buy again.! But having said all that, I tried them on my Gibson Hummingbird, and they don't sound clean.! They "TWANG" with little effort, almost sounding like "string buzz", but they are easy on the fingers to play, being such a small (.09) string. And the overall tone is almost magical.! Sometimes... it's fun to try new strings..!

I wondered if these would be too light for my acoustic, but they sound great! I’ve been working far too hard playing 12’s, even 11’s.These are exactly the same gauge as I’ve been playing with my Kramer Electric for decades.I’ve never enjoyed playing acoustic this much. These have a nice, bright sound, couldn’t be happier with this purchase! Highly recommend!

I started using these almost 40 years ago. Somewhere over the years I changed and went through quite a few different brands and got hooked on D'Adarrio. Which I still like. Nonetheless, these are exceptionally bright and loud strings. I play Taylor acoustics. On one of my lower end, a 214 GA Deluxe, I had just about decided to sell it. I ordered these and all of a sudden I was hearing things I hadn't heard before on that particular guitar. It brought out the sound like I had never heard before. And I had tried Elixir, the D'Adarrio, Ernie Ball, none sounded as good and bright as these did. So if you are looking for some good tone, or your guitar is sounding dull, try changing up to this set of strings and see what you think. It made a difference for me. I also put them on my Taylor GS Mini. made a world of difference on it too. On my 314 and others, the D'addario's are still my favorites.. So far.. But we'll see. And so far, after three weeks of daily playing, the strings haven't needed changing yet. And I play hard.
