Was unable to find a replacement flag in any local hardware stores - thank goodness for Amazon. Worked great and easy install. I did add a little extra glue into the anchor to ensure it will never come out. Very happy

Although I am not sure people use snail mail anymore I bought this since my mailbox flag somehow lost its retention circlip and fell off. This kit is kind of expensive for what you get but it fits and installs easily. There are some additional hardware pieces that I couldn't figure out how to use but I did not need them. Would hope this product could have a metal flag for the price but the job got done so I am happy.

I bought two of these - mainly because I live where we have 3 mail boxes up on a post that we share, and I'd noticed my neighbor's flag had broken and mine had broken so ... what's a good neighbor to do? I was tired of seeing them try to hold up their old flag with duct tape.The directions on the thing seemed overly complicated - it was like reading something made in Japan that someone tried to translate into English and it was almost more confusing than it needed to be. In the end it was really simple to install just by matching it up to the spots already on the mailboxes and sliding the little plastic thing over the 'bolt' that came with it.However, as other people have said, it seems very flimsy. I was almost afraid I was going to break it taking it out of the packaging. It's shrink wrapped so you need to open it carefully in the first place just to avoid losing any of the parts.The 'notches' on the flag to make it stay either up or down don't seem very firm. I'm thinking I should have probably gone with something made of metal ... either way this seems like something I should have been able to buy at the dollar store ... and 2 for that dollar for that matter.I just can't wait for the next time someone sticks a flyer or a catalog on it (to bypass the postal laws) and the stupid thing breaks off again.

Cheap and does not fit. Waste of money. No good clear instructions or videos available. Found one mfr. video on youtube that shows a picture of the kit and keeps repeating the same thing over and over that it is easy to install but never shows you how its supposed to be installed.

I've been avoiding replacing the flag on my mailbox after it appeared that some kids tore it off. Now I feel dumb as it was cheap and fairly quick (probably spent 10 minutes total: 5 to read the instructions and 5 to go out, pull out what was left of the old and to put in this new one). Had I known it was this simple and cheap, I would've replaced it sooner! The only downside is that my older looking mailbox has this bright red flag on it so you can tell it's replaced but it brightens me up knowing that I have a flag.

Was very easy to install and works great so far. Installed it a couple of months ago and so far it stays up and is easy to move up and down. Very nice red color too.

Works great. I had to drill some holes into my mailbox to install it but the template on the packaging made it an easy job. Installation was quick and the flag looks and works great!
