I can use this flag on either side. It works great. No tools required. Color has held up fine as expected. It has been up for a year and a half and still flagging strong.

Had to drill two holes. Mounted in a few minutes. Post Office adapted to the need to lift and then fold flag closed. You can't just push it over. It must be lifted first, straight up, then folded back. If that's a deal breaker for you then do not order this one. I like it. Nice flag.

Ever since we purchased our home 25 years ago, the brick mailbox out front had a poor attempt at a mailbox flag on it that never really worked. When it finally fell off, I purchased this replacement. It works great! It was easy to install with the included mounting hardware. For brick/masonry mailboxes, you'll need a masonry bit, which is not supplied.
