My 1978 Ludwig Acrolite snare drum's batter rim was bent and I wanted to fix it up because I wanted to use it as my main snare, so I threw on this rim and a p-86 snare strainer on it and its now the best sounding snare I own! Its a little thicker than the original rim that came with it, which makes rim shots and knocks feel more solid when hitting them. Great price for a Great product... perfect if your 8 lug snare drum's old rim is out of round or rusty or has other damage to it!

Awesome batter hoop. Really durable and sturdy. The only thing I didn't like was the sticker on it was super hard to get off but I used one of those goo gone products to get it off.

I bought a 70’s era Ludwig Supraphonic, but the hoops we’re flimsy and bent too much to repair. This hoop worked perfectly, and my Supra sounds amazing.

I purchased a new snare drum last month and the diecast hoops I did not care for so I decided to go with heavy duty steel hoops. I ordered the hoop, it was the correct size I needed and arrived very quickly. AWSOME service, Thanks.

Gibralter makes a good , solid product , and the price is right . The hoops came in a good time as expected , undamaged ; it works / fits as it should , everything in shape , and like I said , it;s good and solid , better then a lot of them I've seen and have. Thats about it ; I highly recommend them . And thanks Amazon .. later

Bought this Gibraltar 8 lug B'S hoop to replace an out of round hoop on my 1969 Luwig Standard aluminum snare. Great quality at beefiness at 2.3 mm. And what a difference in sound!!!

This hoop was not warped or out of round. It was a perfect replacement for my current hoop that was warped and bent. If you are considering buying this, remember that many of the reviews stating that the hoop was bent up are several years old and were probably handled by UPS. I have had much better luck with packages not being destroyed by amazon's own delivery service since they started doing that.

It came when I need it, I'm putting the hoops on a 13 inch snare drum that needs new hoops or have as a back up for hoops replacement

Excellent quality chrome hoop, I would say it looks and works as well as a more expensive brand name hoop for about half the price. Highly recommend these to any drummer that wants high quality drum hoops at a fraction of the cost.

Bonjour, cerclage embouti de 8 tirant,de 2,3mm il est important de préciser de façon fondamental l'épaisseur du cerclage acier qui à toute son importance il existe de type d'épaisseur d'acier, le basique 1,6mm qui équipe toute les batterie 1er prix! c'est à dire basique, et 2,3mm pour les batterie millieu à haut de gamme , le son en est bonifié, l'accord plus précis,en particulier sur la cclair en multiplis de 5mm minimum à 7,5 mm maximum d'épaisseur...Ce que précise Music Store dans son descriptif... Que je remercie. Ps: Cerclage pour Batterie très haut de gamme ( acier renforcé moulé! 3mm)
