I had seen these journals via Instagram for a while now and I knew that I wanted to get one for my dad. I had searched relentlessly on here for one and I am so glad that I eventually landed on this one.Not only is this very well made, but it had such beautiful quotes throughout the journal, as well as very well and thought out questions.For somebody with a very militant and “non-emotional†father, I cannot wait for him to receive this because I know that this will not only bring up so many beautiful memories, but be beautifully therapeutic for him as well.Absolutely perfect and thoughtful gift for a fatherâ¤ï¸

I got this and opened it up to take a look at the kinds of questions I can expect to ask my dad to get his life story recorded. I could practically hear my dad’s voice as I thought about the way he’ll answer each question. And I know my kids will treasure this record! I am so excited to get his life story that I immediately went back and bought one for my father-in-law to fill out for us, as well as the mom version for my mother and mother-in-law to out too! What a great way to share family history!!

There are so many of these out there, but I wanted something simple and tasteful. Many of them are just so gaudy and covered in stupid internet sayings - this one is simple, the paper and printing appear to be of good quality, and hopefully it will eventually be filled with all sorts of interesting and meaningful things for my child. Great book.

First Impressions - it is a sturdy book with black text on a dark brown cover making it a little hard to read in low light. This reminds me a reverse baby book. The dad fills this out about themselves instead of the mom (or dad) filling out the book about their child.There are numerous anonymous and attributed quotes throughout that relate to fatherhood.There is a nice ribbon (matches the color of the book) to keep your place as you are writing or reading.A few questions I would rather not see included: about celebrity crushes, first kiss, sharing secrets about lying, reading someone's private mail, etc.Overall, I think this is a very nice book to help a dad put his thoughts, memories, and ideas to paper to preserve them for his children.
