I have had many pairs of Gill Pro gloves over the years and they were always my go to when I needed a new pair. They had a nice grip and were durable. However, this time I bought my usual XL and they were far too small. The XL gloves were returned for XXL, which were still too small. The XXL palm size was uncomfortably tight and fingers impossibly narrow. For reference, my palm circumstance is 8.5 inches. I'm now looking for another brand.Follow up:I purchased Zhik G2 Half Finger XL and they were too small and they were returned. I ended up with Harken XXL classic gloves and they fit, maybe a bit too large if they stretch.

Nice and distinctive, love the quality of this sailing glove. Great feel and will trimmed, no hanging threads. Worth a few bucks more than the average

The side chart said i was a medium but that was way too small.I ended up trying all sizes and stayed with the large. What i noticed was that with larger sizes they only make the fingers longer, the other dimensions barely change. Additionally, the seem allowance inside the fingers is way too big so your fingers get squished.I ended up inverting the gloves and cutting all the extra leather away. Its too bad, the fabrics are great but the manufacturing is terrible. I also used to have the previous version of this which was very good.In future, I would go for a different model or manufacturer.

Pro sailor here. Agreed that if you are handling high load lines and it is your habit to let them run through your hands, the thickness of these is likely to have value in extending their life.

Very unsure about these gloves. The sizing makes no sense. After reading some of the reviews I ordered the XXL (going by the sizing table I should have ordered a smaller size) and they barely fit. Most of my crew would not be able to use them and they don't have larger sizes. They may need some breaking in but they seem stiff and not comfortable.

I bought these as a gift for the captain I sail with. They were to replace a previous black/yellow pair of gill gloves from an earlier season. He previously had a size large in the last pair, so that is what I bought again. These are way too small. No consistency in sizing. I thought of keeping them for myself, but they seem stiff/uncomfortable so I am not too excited about them either.

Lo quería usar para remar en el mar pero son demasiado rígidos. He encontrado otro modelo más adecuado. Supongo que para navegar deben ir bien...

Best sailing gloves I’ve ever had, and the only ones I’ll bother with. I tend to get through a pair in about six months, so it does make the price a bit hard to swallow, but if you’re not subjecting them to the level of abuse I am, they’ll last a couple of years at least.PROs: never had a blister or rope burn with these. Stay grippy until they’re completely worn out. No uncomfortable seams between fingers. Don’t shrink or stretch like other makes do. Don’t tend to get smelly, but if they do, a quick spin in the washing machine and they’re good as news.CONS: just so expensive!
