I'm a die hard linear switch guy. I was introduced to Cherry MX black switches many many years ago, didn't like the arm fatigue due to the higher actuation force needed, and switched to Cherry MX reds instead. Never looked back. 45g and linear was my sweet spot. Buddy of mine got me onto Gateron Reds and they were much nicer than the Cherry MX reds. I've rocked Gateron Reds for a few years now, but had that itch to build another keyboard and didn't want to spend $40 for a set of switches.Enter the Gamakay Mercury.Super smooth typing experience and the five pin design made them very stable with no wobble. I've always avoided non-clear housings because any backlighting from your keyboard will get altered from the switch housing (white backlight with a red switch housing will cause your backlight to be red/pink). Even though these have a gold housing, the LED diffuser that is built into the switch eliminates that completely. Colors come through clean and clear. Coupled with their price, it drives a really hard bargain.I really enjoyed these switches and would highly recommend them!

These switches have a great feel to them, I haven't built them into a board just yet, but they have a nice actuation force, good sound, and are well made.

Can barely tell the difference on my Corsair k65 plus. Had a dead switch that was bugging me so figured $10 for the Jupiters was a cheap enough option but they feel identical to me.

I've purchased 3 types of switches from the planet series.mercury: very nice medium weight tactile switch. Fun, snappy tactile bump.mars: heavy tactile switch. Less snappy, more mushy.venus: light linear switchThe led light diffuser is really neat. The led light gets channeled vertically through the plastic and shines through the top. Virtually no light escapes through the sides. I have other switches with diffuser from kailh and gateron, but a lot of light bleeds through the sides of the diffuser. The way these gamakay switches channel the light is really impressive in comparison.

These switches are really pretty. They have an opaque bluish purple bottom case, clear amber top case, and a navy blue stem. The top and bottom cases and stems fit well and has no jiggle. The set comes in a nice paper box, separated into 2 covered trays. Really nice packaging that can be reused as storage. There is not seal but the set looks pristine and had not bent pins.I typically like switches with light diffusers, since they make the RGBs look less harsh/sharp, and this was no expection. Makes the lighting look even instead of spotty.Been looking for switches lighter than the stock milk ones that came with my Yunzii AL. These are supposed to be 40gf but I really couldn't tell the difference from the 45gf milk switches. They do feel smooth thought and don't need to be hand-lubed.The sound profile is louder than the milk switches. They sound deeper and thockier while the milks sound poppier next to these. I do have 2mm o-rings under the keycaps to lessen the sound.I will be returning these though. My main issue is that their fit is inconsistent. They felt tight fitting into the board. They don't go in straight down. The pins-side snaps in first, so the light diffuser side needs another hard press. Some fit better than others. I was able to put 15 of these in and had to set aside 6-7 that just wouldn't snap in. (see pic of left switch installed correctly and right switch not fully installed on the south-facing side). I even bent the pins slightly on a couple (no major damage and easy fix though). I've never encountered this issue, having tried about 15 different switches. My keycaps fit on these with no problems.Would have kept them if they fit correctly as they feel smooth and like good quality switches otherwise.

Like the title say's overall I liked the switches, they were well lubed from the factory but I had one major issues that took me hours to figure out. The switches kept rattling, after much testing, re-lubing, and switching out different springs to make sure it wasn't my keyboard. The diffusers were the issue, once I removed them they worked great and had little to no issues but having to remove the diffusers kind of defeats the purpose of them. Maybe I just got bad batch, who knows but I won't be buying any more switches that have diffusers from now on.
