Anything I type becomes gushing about this bass, so I will just break it down without going over the top. I am not a pro, just a dude with other bass guitars of various quality.1. Packaging was solid foam inside cardboard. The bass and amp were unmarked and undisturbed.2. The bass body is ultralight, so there is neck dive. Visually, it is a work of art.3. Tuning only and playing with the stock strings resulted in bright sounds coming in strong and bass pretty weak. Once the pickup and string height were both adjusted, it sounded much better. Absolute zero buzz at any configuration of the bass controls.4. The "20 watt" amp does not put out much bass. I have had a 15 watt Behringer thunderbird that could drown this thing easily at less than 1/2 volume. The amp sounds clear and seems to register the high notes really well, it's just really lacking in the low end. My only guess is the cabinet is too small for the speaker to be effective.5. Strap is light and small, but will work in a pinch. All other accessories work properly. I'm not a big pick guy so I can't judge.6. I had some questions for Glarry and they responded quick and professionally via email.7. The closest comparison for the overall sound of this bass is the song "Holiday in Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedys. This bass is perfect for beginners. It is fun, easy to handle, and sounds good. It is worth every penny. I plan to purchase more models in the future.

This is an amazing bass! But when it delivered it was completely unplayable… the notes didn’t even ring out. But even after setup there are still some issues. This bass is really light but has insane neck dive problems. I personally have never had to deal with that before so i dont really know how to fix it. But basically what im saying is that playing this standing is difficult. But other than that everything is great. The frets don’t cut your hands and it seems to stay in tune pretty well.

Just like the reviews here on the product page and on YouTube, this bass is a great value! I wish I had a bass like this when I was starting out 50 years ago. I started with a used Hagstrom, which was a good brand, but not THIS good! No gaps, no sharp frets, flawless finish, all brand new - for less than $100 - you kidding me?! Intonation spot on. Cool heavy metal shape too! Strings of course could be better, but not bad, although as a guitarist I prefer light strings anyway, so no big deal replacing them. If you're not sure about this one, GO FOR IT! You won't be disappointed.

Man what a nice looking bass! Glarry's quality control is improving drastically. I got this in today and did a quick inspection. The frets edges were the smoothest I've felt on any Glarry bass so far. The finish was perfect. Another thing I checked was the area where the neck meets the body. Sometimes there are spaces where it does not fit well. This was not the case here! It fit perfectly. The fret-board looks and feels very nice. The only cons are mainly the gig bag and accessories. The bag is more of a dust cover, no padding at all. The accessories are two wrenches to adjust the truss rod and action. And a non padded strap. There is also a cord for connecting to your amp. I"d probably replace these last two and maybe the bag with something a little better. But I understand to keep the cost of this bass down you're not getting the best accessories money can buy. Overall this is a nice bass. The odd shape is actually smaller and more comfortable than I thought it would be. The neck is more of a D shape. Not too thick but could be a little thinner. The strings are OK but I'd replace them with some better ones. The pickups sound nice and overall I'm happy with this purchase. I'd highly recommend it for the beginning bassist or anyone that just wants something a little different.

One of the tuning pegs will not hold any tension making it impossible to tune. It looked different than the others so might have been replaced before I got it. Neck required adjustment. I am still working on it but I will update if I find more issues.

Guitar was not what expected small and light , payed $9.99 for shipping suppose to be able to return 30 days after purchase now 3rd party seller wants $19.95 for return shipping should be free return shipping since wasn't what expected. Didn't know it was a third party seller or would not have purchased. Never have a problem with amazon returns just third party sellers returns.

Even my son stood in amazement of this guitar. lol My 3 year old got to play it before me. lolI have been playing guitar for eight years. I got this bass because I wanted something cheap to bang around and record with. I was not expecting this quality of instrument. There is no battery port, so it will use phantom power of whatever you plug it in to. If you are running into a front of house system, you may want to invest in a driver pedal get that push.I ran it through Garage Band through an Irig system and it blew me away. The frets are not sharp, the neck dimension is more of a D shape and may be difficult to hold for small hands. This guitar definitely gives off Misfit vibes. The first song I played on it was Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie- every easy to play. It sounded like the OG recording.Very impressed with the overall quality of the guitar. The image had some Styrofoam dust. The finish is a high gloss. It looks like it was polished with a Brillo pad. It just adds character for me, so I don’t care.

very inexpensive , changed the tuners to 20:1 , mass bridge, painted the pickups have new pickups on the way changed hardware to gold, after 3 trys I still haven't found pickups that fit that also have some punch. their GIB PJ bass has a better sound. i upgraded those pickups to guyker hot rail pickups.
