Might burn up quick, if there is no resister installed but 3.7v looks to be fairly close to the level with a touch sensor, since they draw a low amp current when in use.. Will have to test more. Worse case ill have to put in a resister.. Price is Great shipping was fast.. Hopefully they all work don't want to test everyone for 100 obvious reasons...

These LED chips get really hot within seconds of powering them up and stop illuminating. Let them cool down and they light up again but for seconds at a time. A heatsink with thermo couple paste is a necessity if you want to use them for anything. They are also only 1.1 ish watts not 3 watts. (do the math).

They are so bright! Perfect to play with learning small circuits

They are not 3watt. P = V x I (1.19 Watts = 350mA X 3.4 Volts) false advertising.

These are not 3W LEDs. They are 1.155W. 350mA*3.3v=1.155W. Total waste of money.

These LED’s are great - they just need to be operated at 5V. Several other reviews dock these LED’s for not getting to a 3W output, and that is because they need to be operated at 5V. They will use about 600mA at 5V, which corresponds to the rated 3W output. Also - These things run hot - BUT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO! All LED’s are only about 50% efficient - so think of this thing as a 1.5W heater and a 1.5W light. It just needs the proper heatsink, and make sure to use thermal grease on the bottom of the led when mounting them! These are great LED’s, its just that the voltage/current rating is mislabeled.
