This gloss meter works great. But, it is certainly an extravagance and the vast majority of people can get by without one.

After receiving a quote from BYK for around $8k, my company decided to give this a shot. After a few months, we've had no issues using this. While I don't have another brand's meter to compare to, it appears to be accurate and consistent. I will update if any issues pop up. This is being used in the car care industry.

I am using this to check the gloss on vehicle panels such as fenders after replacement and painting. Getting a good gloss match is just as important as paint match when it comes to not noticing a repair. I found this meter easy to use and the price makes it affordable for my basic needs. I am happy and I would buy again. 5 STARS

First thing, it's pretty user-friendly. It took me a little to really get the hang of it, but after that it was smooth sailing. The readings seem consistent and its kinda cool. Didn't think I'd need one, but it's been handy. Good piece of equipment for the price.
