This solenoid did not work on my 2003 7.3 Powerstroke. This solenoid has one terminal that is grounded. It is possible I got a bad solenoid. But the fact that this solenoid does not have isolation bushings in the base like a OEM version does makes me think otherwise. This version only takes a 12v to the smallest terminal to energize. The PCM in the 7.3 sends 12v to both of the small terminals. When the PCM calls for the Glow plugs, it sends ground to one of the terminals. When I installed this one, it powered the glowplugs as soon as the key is on. At that point the solenoid stuck in the closed position constantly running the glowplugs. I turned the key off and the truck remained running. I had to pull the fuel pump fuse to turn off the truck. After further investigation, the Solenoid, when closed, was connecting 12v to the to smaller terminals. This in turned back fed the PCM causing it to continue to run.

Works great but the orientation of the connections to the mounting tabs were 180 degrees opposite of the stock Ford unit on a 2002 F250 Super Duty. Works fine. Just pay attention to the orientation.

installed this part twice and blew PCM fuse both times. Put the old solenoid back on and will shop for another one. You get what you pay for.

Does not work on 2000 F250, 7.3 powerstroke diesel. Remains on even after key is shut off, draining the batteries and damaging the relay.
