This is the second unit purchased. Tried on to see if it would work well with standard Nikon speed lights for off-camera situations. with 2 of these I now have quick setup for most any outside lighting needs.

I purchased this to use a speedlight (Nikon SB800) with a softbox, Glow series III 12"x18".I considered buying the Bowen mount speedring but I had a used a speedring that I wasn't using.I used some nylon bushings a few washers and nuts and screws (8#) to mount it and a little Dremel action to mod the mount. This does still rotate.And if you are wondering about the different knob than an adjustable arm. It is from Zoro tools #G2094373. I changed the bolt as well because I had one on hand. They should have a metric version.I also do't like the Bowens mount. Using it seems to put lights back to far in a softbox. That was the second reason I went with the speedring (iConcept) I had.Thanks for checking out my review.

On my 34 inch beauty dish the adjustment mob for angling the dish hits the material..and you risk ripping the material...
