The purchase of GlowShift’s Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter includes (4) flush mount port plugs and an O-Ring. The plugs are used to cap ports which aren’t in use, and the O-ring creates a leak-free seal for the adapter. Quick Install
With a few simple steps this Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter can be installed along with your oil pressure or oil temperature sensors.
Remove the Oil Filter
After draining the engine oil and reinstalling the drain plug, remove your vehicle’s oil filter making sure there is enough clearance for the Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter.
Install the Adapter
Thread your oil pressure or oil temperature sensor into the Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter, and then install the adapter to the threads where your oil filter was mounted.
Add New Oil Filter
Install a new oil filter to the threads on the sandwich plate adapter and tighten. Your adapter is now in place and your sensors are ready for use.

I needed this to attach an additional oil pressure sending unit for oil pressure gauge. I tried to use the hollow (T) bolt adapter first, however, the way this engine is designed, my only option, was to use this plate. This was an easy install, and works great!

Bought this adapter plate to add an oil temperature and pressure sender to my 91 Nissan 240sx. When I got it, I was quite surprised to see that the design of the oil seal was well thought out, which should prevent leaks. All the holes were tapped properly, and both the senders and the plugs sealed up nicely with a bit of teflon tape. Installation was simple, and the oil filter installed properly.Ran this plate 3K miles from installation to first oil change, and I could not detect any leaks caused by this plate. During the oil change, I inspected the seals, plugs, and overall condition of the plate, and was pleased to see everything was holding up nicely. Have another 1000 miles on the car since then, and still no issues.Overall, I can't complain for the price. Everything worked as I had hoped. A word of caution:To owners of engines where the oil filter screws directly flush to the block, you may have trouble getting some senders and hoses attached to this thing. It's not super thick (a plus in my opinion) so a big thick electrical pressure sensor may collide with the block. In my application, the oil filter mounts on a standoff away from the block, so I don't have clearance issues. Just please beware of this before you cause yourself a headache.EDIT: Update: been using this thing for about 10K miles now, and 3 oil changes in that time. Had absolutely no issues with it yet. No leaks, threads are holding up and not stripping, gauges and plugs are properly holding in the oil even when my oil temps/pressures are pretty high. For the price, I cannot recommend this highly enough. If you are looking to run an oil cooler, upgrade to something with a thermostat in it. But for sensors, oil feed lines for turbos and whatnot, this is a fabulous budget item that performs like it should.

Works great on my '98 Lexus ES 300. I used this in conjunction with an AutoMeter 3321 mechanical oil pressure gauge to keep track of my oil pressure as this is one of the Lexus engines with sludge build up issues. It allows me to watch the oil pressure and try to correlate what/when is making the oil pressure idiot light flicker and come on at low engine speed. there is no other option to installing an oil pressure gauge as the factory location is buried and very difficult to get at, and almost impossible to put adapters on to plumb the pressure gauge to.This plate installed easily, fits great and has not shown any signs of leakage in about 500 miles so far. I just ordered an AutoMeter oil temperature gauge to install on this plate also. There is enough clearance with the plate in place that i will be able to install an larger oil filter at the next filter change.I have not done a filter change yet, but that will be coming soon, so at that point i can determine how well the fitting stays in place.I may order a few of these for my other vehicles.5/31/2016 - update: installed another one on my older truck. Installation was easy, works great. I can now more accurately monitor the oil pressure on my engine.The one installed on the Lexus is still working great, no issues. So nice to see what the oil pressure is doing instead of relying on the idiot light.

Have bought Glowshift in the past, and very happy with every purchase Ive made. Great customer service as well, helped me with every question I had on their end.Product exactly as shown, they've updated the design slightly since I last bought one of these and very very happy with the internal hex head blocking screws opposed to bolts they used to use. Good quality. Oil pressure sender sold by GS also fit perfectly!

So far so good! No leaks and worked great. I had a bit of an issue with the install. I contacted glowshift about the issue and they quickly said there was nothing they could do and to have a nice day. So I am removing 1 star just because of glowshifts customer service. After a night of thinking about it I came back and fixed the issue on my own.

Having trouble with my Hemi oil pressure. I was not sure if it was a bad sender or a blockage in the oil galley, or if the change engine light was about to come on. On the Hemi, you cannot tap into the existing port for the factory sending unit, there is no room. This was an easy, inexpensive alternative. Now I can have the factory light and a mechanical gauge as a backup. Easy to install, well made,does not leak at all. Just be sure of the factory filter threads and there will be no problems.

Before I installed, I made sure to take all the little hues that’s were STILL ON IT when I received it. That’s a bad look right off the bat. After having it installed for over a month, everything is right, seals are all in place, and yet it LEAKS! I like that the parts are affordable, BUT this is too much for me. I have to buy a new spacer to use because this cannot be on my car for an extensive period of time.

I installed it in my 1978 Mustang and used it to hook up an engine oil pressure gauge and an oil pressure switch. So far, so good. No leaks, seems to be a good quality piece. Very satisfied.
