Seller Letwing included a very useful gift with the package. Included with the gift was a small screwdriver which was useful in installing the gift. The V100 is an amazing unit with a really up to date touch screen display.

This flash works very well on the Canon R5. There's some strengths to this flash and some weaknesses, but overall it is a very good unit. I would rate it at 4.5 stars if I could. I talk more about the negatives in this review, but that's only because the good features work so well they don't need much description, while the downsides are worth being more aware of.The controls are easy to use and operation is very straightforward. Build quality is good and the ability to recharge the battery pack with USB C is great. The amount of control that this flash offers in terms of power level is the best I've ever worked with. It has the standard full power, half power, etc., all the way down to 1/256, but you can go up or down by 0.1 instead of the standard third or half units. The touch screen on this flash is very bright. That's great if you're outside on a sunny day, but you will want to turn it down all the way if you're covering an event in the dark. There are only a few notable downsides that I have found, but none are deal breakers for me. The unit is not weather sealed and uses a proprietary battery. It also doesn't have as fast a recycle rate as I would like. The lack of weather sealing is a problem if you're trying to use this as an on-camera flash and the rest of your gear is sealed. You have to either take this off or switch to a different speed light if you think you might be shooting in an environment that could get damp. For many photographers this wouldn't matter, but for a photojournalist, this might be a deal-breaker.Another potential downside is the proprietary battery. Unlike with a AA powered flash, keeping spare batteries on hand is harder if you end up shooting longer than expected. The battery life is good, but this is just something to keep in mind. The slow recycle rate surprised me. On the R5 in H+ mode with a legacy lens, it could only shoot 3 or 4 frames at 1/8 power before it would miss 3 frames. When firing a full power flash, it takes just under 2 seconds to recharge. When firing at 1/4, you can only fire about 12 flashes in 5 seconds. This just doesn't keep up with the speed of modern cameras. For studio work it would be fine work portrait work on location, but for journalism or event coverage this is not ideal. This flash has a lot of features, but navigating the menu system can be fairly unintuitive. It's easy to get stuck in sub menus and not know how to get out of them, or not know which menu is specific feature is under. I would recommend downloading and reading the manual very well. For example, the ready beep is turned on by default and is incredibly annoying for anything other than studio work. I like the beep on my studio strobes, but not on an on-camera flash. It took me a while to figure out how to turn it off, but that could be user error. It's not on the main menu- you have to either double click the home button or swipe down from the top to access the menu to turn off the beep. This flash works well. If you're comfortable with the drawbacks and not primarily a journalist or event shooter, this is a great unit. I will keep my Canon flash in my camera bag, but absolutely keep this around as well for quick portraits where I don't have time to set up a studio strobe.

Right off, I want to state that I am absolutely not a professional when it comes to photography, and only know what I know from messing around at home with my camera. Because of that, this is not going to be a very technical review.Starting out, this was much easier to use and figure out than I anticipated, and it feels very well made. It feels sturdy, like I am not worried about bumping it or damaging it from normal use. The settings and the operations are pretty intuitive and did not present any real problems for me to get the hang of with some trial and error. I used an older D60 camera to play around with it, and the results were quite good and natural looking, even in the dark outside.Came with everything needed, and was packaged exceptionally well. While I am not a professional photographer, I know a couple people who are, and their opinion was that this was a fairly top tier camera flash that competes with some of the best. One of them helped me adjust they settings, and the difference was not insignificant with the right adjustments.I am all around very pleased with it, and am looking forward to learning more and utilizing it with this flash. 5 out of 5 stars from me, and a couple of people who helped me figure it out.

When I ordered this I doubted there would be a noticeable difference in the output, I was more interested in having a third strobe, and I liked the look of the updated display. Now having used it, the Godox V100C truly shines. It's brighter, more useful in more scenarios outdoor, and with a USB-C rechargeable battery. It carries over the detachable secondary flash from the previous version that I've found useful so many times, and still pair with older Godox flash heads. The touchscreen interface is straightforward, making it easier to operate for someone unaccustomed to using flash. Because of the better light output, with no new downsides, this will be my primary from now on.Overall it may not be a major shift in the Godox lineup, but an excellent upgrade nonetheless. It doesn't make your older units obsolete, but there's no reason not to get this one if you need another, or don't have any camera flash yet. It's a solid flash that outperforms.

The Godox V100-C round head flash is perfect for my Canon camera and I am very impressed with its performance. The wireless sync is seamless and allows for easy multi-flash setups, as well as reliable integration with other Godox units. The 100W power output is perfect for both subtle fill light and strong lighting in dynamic environments, and the 70 full-power flashes per battery charge ensure I can shoot for long periods without interruption. Highly recommend for Canon cameras that can support this flash kit.

I'm honestly brand new to flash photography, so please take my opinions with a grain of salt. That said, so far I've found this to be very well constructed, and I've been quite happy with how seamlessly it's worked with my Canon 60D.
