They are made for Gold Tone banjos. The wire diameters are the same that come with them when new. The sound of a Gold Tone is second to none.

Great quality banjo strings. Medium gauge strings -work well for bluegrass style picking. The strings set is tailored for Gold Tone banjos, but it works equally well on other brands of banjos.

One of the strings broke during installation, so had to use another brand. The four that were left over didn’t have a great sound to them. I own a Gold Tone banjo and love it but the GT strings just don’t have what it takes. They started sounding old within a week. I took them off and went back to D’Addario strings. Happy once again!
