Our snake gaiters are constructed from 1000D Oxford fabric with solid PP boards that can NOT be pierced by a snake’s fang, which are more durable than other snake gaiters.

Unique Design
The adjustable straps and buckles ensure a good fit on your lower legs. Two extra loops are designed to prevent the straps from loosening.

Sewing Tightly
Gonex snake gaiters provide excellent tear-resistance. No need to worry rips occur suddenly.
Step 1:
Wrap the snake gaiters around your lower legs. (We recommend wearing them on top of your pants and boots.)
Adjust them to fit your calf and then button up.
Step 2:
Use the elastic loops to tighten up the end of the buckles.
This can prevent the straps from loosening and keep the gaiters firm on your lower legs.
Step 3:
Use the hook & loop to fix the extra straps and prevent them from falling off while walking.

These are rigid, well constructed with excellent straps and clips to secure the gaiters. Good to attach over pants with significant flaps to cover the shoe tops.

There is a pun in the headline above: The seams might be the weak pont in this snake guard.I have now tested it, at least on a walk about in Crotalus scutulatus territory (scorpion collecting). While I received no strikes I felt somewhat protected by the polyporopylene armor and it was easy to put on and use. The guards drop down enough to protect ankles and I felt enough coverage to be somewhat reassured that I wasn't going to dieThere may be more protective guards, but these guards are probably adequate and nearly infinitely better than nothing.

Easy to put on; A bit awkward to chinch up the straps but not a problem after doing it a couple of times.

I bought these guards for working in areas where rattlesnakes are common. They are easy enough to put on and are sturdy. If I were going to do a lot of hiking, I would probably want more of a boot, although these were fine over my hiking boots for the purpose I was using them.

I don’t know anybody who has a completely straight leg. That is all that would fit comfortably for these. They do not get smaller as they get down to the ankle so the fit is very skewed and they shift back-and-forth. My calves are in the range for the recommended fit and it is very uncomfortable and they are so stiff that I would not want to walk very far in these. The build quality is very nice though in the material seemed good. I trust that no snake could bite through these but I also wouldn’t want to bother wearing them. The way they shift around and don’t fit snug makes them impractical, and the straps loosen themselves as you walk. 3 stars only because the build is nice but that’s all that’s good about them.

I like to wear them when weed eating and mowing. Tall grass especially was bitten by a snake as a kid.
