i purchased this as an emergency radio, in case the utilities went down, but find myself listening to it more than I thought I would. Baseball games are somehow better when you hear them on a transister radio you had as a kid. it picks up stations well, and pretty handy during storm season.

I bought this mainly for the weather report. It’s excellent, no static. AM and FM also excellent, was listening today to Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game on the FM. I am surprised by the quality for this lightweight transistor. A good buy!

I got this radio for my sister so she could have a weather radio in her RV. That the reason I chose a red colored one. A simple to use radio.It's a to so what I wanted in a handheld. AM, FM and the NOAA weather band. I also wanted the tuning wheel instead of digital tuning. The radio has a simple design and the case is sturdy enough but I wish it was more robust like the Baofeng UV-5R. Include a camo color scheme, another plus.

Out of the box the volume control didn't work. The radio played at a constant, too-loud volume. Completely useless. This is a basic quality control issue: I guess they just don't bother turning on the radio to see if it works before they ship it.You need a weather radio to work as expected. I recommend you buy a different brand.

This is just a simple AM/FM weather radio; nothing fancy. But, it does the job w/o taking much room in a bug out bag.

This little pocket radio offers AM/FM plus weather, which is great. But I find the sound quality dull, as an older gal with a bit of hearing loss. Headphones do help. Other little radios I have have crisper and clearer sound. But easy to use on/off, station selection is OK.
