Replaces your existing battery door, this metal part is durable and does its job well. It allows you to attach an external power source for extended battery life while still using the camera. Obviously it's not fully waterproof with this installed, but with a cable inserted rain should not be an issue since it still gaskets everything but the USB port and water can run out the bottom. I use it to allow use of a power bank as a helmet counterweight for the GoPro, providing both better neck comfort and extended battery.

I use my GoPro Hero 9 (soon to be Hero 12) and want to record for 6 to 10 hours at a time. After researching external power on GoPro, found they designed this Pass-Through door to fit the Hero 9, Hero 10, Hero 11 & Hero 12. Just got it and it works great with my Yolotek PowerStick on my boat (as well as my friends' boats), and now I can protect my camera's battery compartment, battery & SD card by covering it fully. This pass-through door will protect the compartment from water and dirt, keeping it clean and operating perfectly. I’m going to get the Yolotek silicone rainproof putty to make it even more weatherproof. Oh, and a cord is included so you can plug it into your power source of choice. Great design GoPro!

Genuine GoPro part that easy swaps in for the stock door fits so well and looks so smooth that I couldn’t figure out how to open the thing again to get it off. If you have the same problem, just pull down on the hook bit.Even came with a fairly long usb cable which was a nice addition.

I thought the Pass-Through Door was required to power the camera while recording. It is not. The camera power input can be accessed by leaving the battery door open. The camera will record while the battery door is open. Because GoPros are prone to overheating, using the Pass-Through Door increases the likelihood of the camera overheating and shutting down. It’s durable, fits perfectly, and looks slick. I will probably never use it. Extremely overpriced.

This product works as advertised. It fits well and doesnt leave a lot of room for dust or water to leak into the battery compartment. With that said, it is expensive for what it is but the off brand ones just dont compare in terms of fit and quality. If you are serious about using your gopro for extended periods of time, I recommend this.

This is a genuine GoPro product, all items are in the unopened packaging and it all fits well with my GoPro 9I have used this many times now and it has worked perfectly, even in light rain it has proven to be weatherproof.I am now buying another one for my soon to be delivered GoPro 12

This is a really good official product that allows me to extend the battery life of the camera to as much as the power bank I have with me. Means I can plug it in and use it for long rides without worrying about the battery dying and having to carry multiple batteries.The only downside is that the USB C end of the cable melted, despite the camera having constant airflow. Thankfully the camera and the door are undamaged but the specific weather seal cable is useless.Thankfully GoPro, whilst support was not easy to get hold of, did replace the cable under warranty at no cost to me. I don't know how the process would differ if the camera was damaged, I got lucky and I guess the cable popped out as it melted avoiding any damage to the door or camera itself.
