The beginner ball is designed to have some bounce variation, but it will not overly frustrate athletes who are just getting started. The intermediate reaction ball is for those who are looking to sharpen their skills as it provides moderate bounce variation. The expert reaction ball is for those at the top of their game who want to be tested to the limits. These balls are a great training aid for a wide variety of sports including baseball, softball, lacrosse, football, basketball and more. Use it solo against a wall, or in a team setting. The unpredictable bouncing will increase your hand eye coordination and prepare you for unpredictable bounces in game situations. The balls are made from TPR rubber and can be used indoors and outdoors.

Got it for my 6 year old. Great easy and fun way to start working that hand and eye coordination. I got all 3 levels and they all work great.

What an amazing product! I have incorporated these reactions balls into my baseball practices and have seen immediate improvements to my players' footwork. My infielders are doing a better job of moving their feet to get themselves in a better fielding position more often and their ability to react to bad hops has drastically improved. I have even started hitting the reaction balls to my infielders during ground ball practice, that is really cool to watch! All youth baseball infielders should be utilizing these reaction balls daily!

This is a fairly good reaction ball. We've enjoyed playing with it. It is well made and holds up to some abuse. Because it is an 'expert' ball we expected it to jump around in more crazy ways and with more height than regular reaction balls. But it is just the opposite. It bounces much lower and with less changes in direction than a standard reaction ball. In some ways this does make it more difficult, but it makes it less fun as well.

I'm 35 and I thought this would be a fun way to move around some more and maybe help my reactions when playing softball. It was done both for sure!

I bought this as a birthday gift for my 6 year old nephew and it was a hit! Great entertainment and a training tool too.

I purchased two balls, beginner and intermediate. The beginner ball turned out to be so close to round that it rarely bounces not as you would expect. I could use a simple cheap tennis ball, and 4 times out of 5 it would bounce just the same. Only about once every 5 drops this beginner ball deviates from the expected path, but deviates only by very little, and snatching it is no challenge at all. The Intermediate ball is quite a bit of a challenge, but after 10 mins of practice I was able to catch it in about 70% of cases, it was has been getting better with training. I also have an advanced ball from a different brand, very similar to advanced ball from GoSports, and that one is impossible without practice with easier balls. I really would love to start with a beginner type of ball, but "beginner" means for me something more challenging that GoSports beginner, something a little less rounded with a little more randomness in bounce. Somehow, tossing and dropping a $10 beginner ball which barely differs in its bounce from a tennis ball, is disappointing. The balls are made of some sort of rubber and are surprisingly heavy for their size. They are much heavier than tennis balls. I rate it three stars because (a) beginner ball is too much of a beginner, and there is nothing in between almost round beginner and intermediate to make learning process easier, and (b) ideally, these balls should be sold as a set at a lower price point. I cannot quite explain why two small rubber balls should be $20.

Purchased for a lazy 13 year old who "loves basketball." Loves to say he loves it, but doesn't love to practice it. Apparently he's "good enough" at the sport. Anyway, thought this might be fun and engaging so he'd develop better skills. This got played with about 5 times before being left out on the patio table.I suppose I better up my college tuition savings plan since a basketball scholarship likely isn't in his future.Better luck to the next person who buys for a teenager. Why isn't it legal to lock them in a storage shed until age 19?

This ball is WAY to hard. It's impossible to use it on a wall at home. Even not on a wall made of bricks - the bricks would be damaged. Highly disapointed.
