For those wondering, "firm" is indeed firm †even at 3 inches thick. The average shmo does not sink to the bottom like with a lot of other foams (don't know about heavier folks though). Suitable for a rockâ€hard caveman mattress or a sweet bench cushion. I chose the bench cushion. Had to cut it a bit, but that was a surprisingly easy task for my oversized hunting blade.Tips from personal foamâ€cutting experience:» DO NOT USE A CHEAP RAZOR ON FOAM THICKER THAN 2 INCHES.» If you're using a kitchen knife, IT MUST BE SHARP, AND BY "SHARP" I MEAN SHARPER THAN A CONCUSSED QUARTERBACK.

I received my 6"×24×84" cushioning and I am more than pleased with what I received! It was much more firmer than I had expected, which is what I wanted.I cut it up into 24×21" floor pads.I am using them for weightlifting barbell drop pads, in my home gym. I needed something to protect the hardwood floors and two didn't the sound from my neighbor below me. THEY WORK GREAT! Barely any bounce and very quiet.So if anybody is in the same predicament that I was; this padding will just solve your problem greatly. The price is great and the customer service was extremely good as well. I called them for advice before I purchased. They were extremely friendly and helpful. I probably could have gotten away with the three or four inch pads. I just drape a couple of old towels over them to protect them and keep them clean. They may look a little bit funky but I'm not out for looks; I'm out to get a real good workout and build more muscle.This product is great. Give it a chance.PLEASE SUPPORT THIS SMALL BUSINESS.

high density foam and very supportive. saved my sofa. takes efforts to fill in the cusion cover but it's definitely worth it once it's done

Just what i needed to go under my sofa cushions. It sat a little low and this raised up my seat cushions 2 inches. Great product. Very firm, and 2 inches thick. Works very well.

Great ,very firm exactly what I needed for a new uncomfortable sofa . I've used this foam on top of the seat area with a large throw over it. Perfect , very comfy now . By sheer luck the cut piece I bought fits exactly . Not too pricey either compared to others I checked out. Good foam is very expensive but the price on this is very keen.
