Traditional thumbscrew-style locking functionality with Gotoh technology.
Pull the string taught through the tuner hole, and with a twist of the thumbwheel the string is locked into the post. Just a few turns of the tuner knob and you're up to pitch. Since there's just a partial wrap of string around the post, tuning stability is dramatically improved. Locking tuners are excellent for non-locking tremolo guitars, and for players that do heavy string-bending.

Ordered these from Stewmac through Amazon. Solid company with premium grade parts and tools. Your guitar is important. Don't buy cheap Chinese junk...These locking tuners themselves are so far beyond the stock Gibson tuners; You can't even compare them.An hour of hard playing and the strings are still in tune! The original tuners would require tuning every few songs.My guitar is a Gibson SG.One of my original tuners got bent, so I had been looking to replace it. To buy a single, original replacement tuner from Gibson was $42.So instead I started shopping around for locking tuners as an upgrade. I've heard nothing but good things about them.I finally decided between the Hipshot and Gotoh tuners. Both are solid options and affordable with the full sets running in the $60-ish range.The final decision for going with Gotoh was that they're a direct drop in replacement. They use the same screw holes as the original Gibson tuners.The Hipshot tuners use mounting plates instead and I didn't want the plates to potentially damage the finish on the back of the headstock.One point of note when installing them. They come with 6 screws for mounting. I did not not use them because they are a coarser thread than the original screws. The original screws work perfect and you don't need to worry about cross-threading anything.

I Love these tuners, this is my second set I've bought for a distant project, only ones I will put on my guitars looks great and feel great, works awesome. Most quality tuners I have ever felt

This product was a good replacement option for my 2016 Les Paul which came with the G-Force electronic tuner. Easy to install - as long as you are cautious and take you time. I had to pre-drill the back of my guitar’s headstock in order to install them but was very well worth the effort. Guitar tunes fine and with the locking feature, changing strings is much easier and quicker compared with the G-Force.

This tuners worked perfectly for my Yamaha Revstar RSS20. I installed them myself and it was so easy. No drilling necessary. The chrome finish matched all the metal parts on my guitar. I am so happy with this purchase.

Direct replacement for 2019 Les Paul Standard (60s). They're solid, smooth, and look great. A little bit unstable but I think with time they'll be fine. First show with them in 2 weeks and I feel pretty confident about them.

These tuners are nice, very smooth and lock great, look good and perform great. BUT, they did Not fit my 2010 Gibson Les Paul Made in America guitar like all the reviews stated. I read the reviews because I didn't want to have to drill my headstock to install new tuners...but I had to end up drilling my headstock because they were too large to fit my guitar's tuner holes .So, it took a long time to install these and a lot of holding my breath while I drilled on my $2000.00 dollar guitar...

I put these on a D'Angelico semi hollow body electric and they fit right on with no drilling or modifications. I think they are going to work out real nice.
