Purchased as child's Xmas gift. Love that its multicolor, great quality wheels and love the light features within the wheels on either side horizontally, along with the light additions on the front. As my child rides the hoverboard just glows and the wheel wells change colors...It's seriously so cool! Darn thing is fast and holds a charge well. Does great with detachable go cart hover board seat (recently purchased) and is 30 something year old approved fun!

I got this for my 12 year old. I had to guide him and help balance him the first couple times of use. It does take a little time to get used to, however I feel like he mastered the use of it within about 15 minutes. He did need to build up some confidence before going on his own, but he was rolling all over the house on his own in no time. We have wooden floors and the hoverboard glided smoothly on it. The battery is long lasting. It’s durable and sturdy. It can hold a good amount of weight, so it’s great for kids and teens. My husband tried it given he is close to the weight threshold (175 pounds) and it carried him along just as easily as it did my son, it has a pretty powerful motor. It turned with ease, I was able to control the movement swiftly with my feet. I was surprised with the performance, it has some get up and go and it was much easier to use than I expected. The lights are a great addition and it even has a Bluetooth speaker. The sound quality is great and a very cool feature.

I bought this for my son as a present. The only downside is that it rattles when you speed up. So we got a replacement and that one rattled too. Other than the rattle, we love this hoverboard. It is fast, smooth, responsive, feels well made, and the charge lasts a long time.

I ordered this hoverboard & a Gotrax electric scooter on Black Friday. They were delayed then never arrived. Amazon refunded me.I purchased them again the hoverboard was delayed multiple times. Amazon was kind enough to reimburse me & allow us to keep the hoverboard. It was lost at UPS for a week but after I visited the UPS warehouse & a few phone calls they found it. It was after Christmas but at least it arrived.Once it arrived my daughter loved it! It was cute and a great beginner hoverboard for my 9 year old. Sadly it stopped working after 2 weeks. It no longer self balances even though it turns on & is charged. She’s very disappointed. Perhaps it’s a defective one. My son’s Gotrax electric scooter is great. I am certainly wary about buying another Gotrax product.

I have been looking for GoTrax for my son for a few weeks and it came on sale on Amazon just 2 days before his birthday. Placed the order and received it a day before, which was perfect.GoTrax GXL V2 is well built, good charging and run time, nice size wheels to go over bumps and cracks on sidewalks/roads, lastly folding mechanism is simple and easy to use.The actual run time is more than what’s posted in the product description. We used it’s on mixed terrain, some uphill and downhill but mostly flat, and quarter of the battery was remaining after 32 mins of use.Comparing to some of the more expensive electric scooters, I think, it is better value for money.Very impressed with GXLV2. Highly recommended!

If you’re on a budget and just entering the e-scooter market, this is a satisfactory no-frills decent option that’ll get you from point A to B.Only concern is that the battery suddenly drops to one bar when tackling hills, even though I know it’s fully charged and no where near its range limit. It “thinks†it’s low on battery when it’s probably just struggling with torque. Weight also affects performance - keep this in mind if you’re doing a trip to the store like me.Had a lot of difficulty trying to pry the lever in order to get it to fold. I have to use the entire weight of my foot and leg to get it to unfold, and hopefully without smashing a few body parts.Otherwise, a really fun scoot to get around!

5 star Update:It took a while but GOTRAX contacted me about the problem mentioned in my original review, and presented a solution to it. It seems they have improved not only their QC but more importantly, the customer service. Regardless of the product, I think customer service makes the difference in keeping customers loyal, and it says a lot about a company that wants to make things right. I wouldn't hesitate to buy products from GOTRAX again.After 1 month use, I think I can give an objective review. There are pros and cons. I bought this scooter to avoid using public transportation to go to work. I have used it everyday, except in rainy days. Max speed and range-wise, this scooter delivers what promised (I'm 61 kg), however, it feels underpowered at times because it won't go over 15.7 mph even in downhill, where bikes go much faster. The cruise control is very flawed, it is supposed to engage after holding down the throttle for 10 s, but sometimes it will engage after only 4-5 s, and other times it won't work at all, no matter how long I press it down. But my biggest complain is that it doesn't hold the speed consistently. With the throttle at max, the speed fluctuates between 14 and 15.5 mph and it is very annoying. Also, I'm a bit concern about the durability because it's not the sturdiest scooter out there, but I guess that's according to the price. Overall, for the price I think it's not a bad product, but it would be much better without the speed inconsistency.

saved up my money to purchase this scooter. However, after only a few weeks of use, the back tire unexpectedly deflated. Nevertheless, I remained optimistic and ordered an innertube to fix the issue. The following month, to my surprise, the front tire also deflated. It hadn't even occurred to me that the front tire required an inner tube. Despite the additional expense, I had it promptly repaired. To make matters worse, a couple of months later, the throttle suddenly stopped working. Even though the battery was fully charged, there was no power. I am incredibly frustrated and disappointed with this product.
