This is good for a beginner, which I was. This got me through the learning curve of pasta, but it was not very study when mounted to the counter and the crank was hard to turn and got easily jammed up. Cleaning was almost impossible, any bit that got caught you had to wait for it to dry and harden then try to loosen them and shake them out from the inside.

There are few pieces to assemble, and the ease of use is great. My only wish is the number settings could be displayed in a deeper detail.

We finally used the new pasta maker! It was a surprise for my husband's birthday. It was something he had talked about for months, especially now that we have to watch our dietary needs. Our power went out so he decided to make pasta noodles to pass time last night and had a blast doing it- a true Italian! As soon as the power was back, he cooked up a batch, and we had a wonderful late night snack. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone interested in making their own pasta. He loved how professional and sturdy it felt and how easy it was to use. He's already declared he won't buy any more pasta from the store.

I was able to make noodles. It’s easy to store. The nozzle to adjust the thickness is great. However, there are only two types of noodles you can make, so make sure you know that. My major issue is the metal debris from the machine. There’s no warning sign from the manual that you need to run the trial dough press at least 20 times to get the metal debris out. It’s a health hazard, so make sure you use a dough to clean it many times before really using it.

And this machine does it all!I make all kinds of pasta with it. Clamps securely to my kitchen counter. Easy to use for everything from noodles to ravioli. Simple clean up. This is my third purchase. The reasonable price means I can gift one to a friend just because.

This little past maker is great! It’s super easy to use and didn’t take me long to figure out the little tricks of the trade to get the quality that I wanted. At a time when things like pastor in stores can be tough to find, and needing to become more self-sufficient is essential this is been a great addition to our household. I took the recommendation to get this pasta maker from a red sealed chef that I know. Best advice they could’ve given and I couldn’t be happier. Cheers! And happy dining.

Impressed with the weight of this little machine. Was expecting a larger unit, but don't let the size fool you. Solid. Like any new tool, there's a learning curve, but didn't take long to get making spaghetti. 2 nights and worked well. Couple problems I had: 1) found the fettuccini noodles were right size, but the roller for spaghetti cut the noodles too thin - were more angel hair than regular spaghetti, so was a bit dissappointed with that. The ad indicated and showed a larger noodle size. 2) don't care too much for the "pull out and turn" tension knob. Found it a bit awkward and didn't feel as secure on the unit. 3) didn't find the cut on the noodles deep enough. So far, have to separate the noodles but this may be a bit of inexperience on our part. Do cut better if the noodles aren't stickly or damp - keep the dough floured. Roll the dough easily and am looking forward to trying this for dumplings, ravioli and lasagna. Overall, this machine does the trick and the taste of fresh pasta over store-bought is uncomparable.

The GOURMEX is simply amazing! We have a kitchen aid electronic pasta machine, however, it took so long to roll out the dough. I decided to buy a manual machine because I thought it would be much faster and this is true! What took us 3 hours to do with the electrical machine took us 1 hour to do with this product! It is honestly a great product for the price. It is light weight, easy to use. The only negative would be cleaning the pasta inserts. It is very difficult to get the dough out of them! However you can always cut the dough by hand and get the same results! I would definetly get this product! 9/10!

The machine worked very well, it's very sturdy and the clamp for holding down the machine was stronger than I would've expected! I liked that there is more than one option of noodle, fettuccine and spaghetti, offers more options. The machine is a little difficult to clean because some the dough gets stuck in between the walls of the machine. My overview is, the machine works very well, it's quick easy, and there's option, it's quicker than cutting by hand and thinner than I could ever cut it by hand!!!!!

I was making fresh pasta at home quickly and easily! Works great and seems to be very sturdy (and heavy!) so I expect it to last a long time. Easy to clean, and stores well in the box. :)Only thing I have issue with, is because its designed to use the same handle for the pasta roller and the pasta cutter, it can be easy to accidentally pop the handle out/drop it. But once I had used it a few times, I got the hang of it!
