Unlike the harness straps with lights, your batteries could die and leave you with minimal protection. With this vest you don't have a light, but you do have a much larger amount of high visibility material that never needs batteries. I've also heard the harness type vests are hard to put on. This one is easy and fit over a coat easily since the side is pretty much entirely open. The material is also stronger than some wimpy mesh material that will rip easily.And if all that's not enough for you.... it comes with 2 arm/ankle straps. What more could you possibly want at this price????

As per other reviews, little large but otherwise great!Pros:1. On the large size by one to two sizes.2. Very effective reflectivity.3. Velcro appears strong and rugged.Cons:1. No significant flaws.::

I'm 5'3" and weigh 140 lbs. Bought medium, fits nicely over winter jacket and able to tighten when wearing less clothing. Two good-size velcro strips (hip length) on front/back for easy sizing. Highly recommend. Would purchase again.

This vest it fantastic! The velcro straps are sturdy and have a wide range of adjustment. I shined my bike light on it in a darkened garage before one ride and as advertised, it is highly reflective. I've used it about 7-8 times now and instead of washing it in the washer, I simply rinse it off in a sink, lightly wring it out and let it air dry on a clothes rack.

This may work good for running or riding a bike. I do not recommend for riding a motorcycle. If you are going 55mph or faster, the vest pulls to one side. Also I am not a fan of the Velcro.the sticky side snags your clothing.
