This successfully replaced the original gasket. The appearance of the rubber studs is different than the original, but it sealed successfully.

Do, I bought a ‘universal hardware’ kit from the hardware store and thought I was good to go on replacing the guts of my toilet.Get about halfway through and the old gasket was pretty beat up, so I cut it away and proceeded, knowing I had a replacement in the box… which didn’t fit my toilet.So, a little research shows that yes, I needed this gasket. Fast shipping and I am back in business!Got t in the mail an hour ago and my toilet is back to normal operation!No leaks, there is a video from Kohler on YouTube that was handy and my home repair is complete.Good stuff!

The package doesn’t come with any instructions. It’s a real pain to install this and it is to do with the kohler design itself than the product.Once installed it worked good for the first time with no leaks.

I installed this triangle gasket on my 2 piece Kohler toilet, and I could not get it to stop leaking. I swapped it out with a fluid master triangle gasket, and it does not leak. I wish I had just started with the fluid master parts.
