If you have a dog this is a must have! It gives you peace of mind knowing if the unthinkable happens you can find your fur baby quickly. I love that the purchase is one and done. No subscription needed. I just hope the longevity of the tracker makes it well worthwhile. Time will tell. Battery life is very good. I expect it to last weeks at this rate on a single charge. Tracking is accurate. It does take time to initiate the GPS tracking when you first turn it on. Just a few minutes. If you are in a high risk situation you can turn it on before hand, by clicking "start a walk" to have it ready to go. Very happy with this purchase. Would recommend!

I purchased this for a working K9 to have as reassurance that I could locate my dog if she was to get out. The Battery last less than a week, and takes a full day (24 hours) to recharge, So the dog can’t wear For the entire time is charging. I’ve only had the product for about three weeks and I had an out of town trip so I charged it prior to the trip. The charge only lasted 24 hours before the battery was completely dead. I hadn’t even gotten to my destination when it was dead, and I didn’t have the charger with me. If I can send this product back, I will.

Significant issues right out of the box. I read the previous reviews about needing a strong cell signal and fully charged battery but decided to give it a shot. After a day of fumbling around with it I finally figured it out. I had the tag attached to the dog's collar which was facing down. I tried attaching it to the top of his harness and it quickly identified the tag and located it. Dog got loose the next day and was in a 1-bar signal area but I was able to locate him quickly. The batter seems to last way longer than I was led to believe by previous reviews. In addition, the App that is used is easy.Overall--solid product. The only downside I see is attaching it. The velcro provided works great for now, but I don't know how long it will last (continuous attaching/detaching it to harness in order to charge).

We had a friend whose dog bolted from the person watching her and she got hit by a car. In the dark they couldn't find her. I wanted to get a tracker that would help me find my dogs quickly. We have a Minature Poodle and a Bichon mix. I felt the PitPat tracker was too big for their collars so I put it on their harness which they wear all day. You do need to install the PitPat app on your phone. When you select "Find My Dog Now" on the app, within a few minutes the satellites locate your dog very accurately. Your can also share your dogs with other family members etc. but they need to install the app. It also monitors your dog's activity level-sort of a Fitbit for dogs! It has other features but those are the 2 that I use the most. It comes in multiple colors and does not need a monthly subscription. I am very satisfied with it.

The tracker worked the first time I used it. Since then it says that the animal is out of coverage or satellite is receiving no signal. The tracker must be under a cover, the tracker only works when the pet is outside. The pet is standing next to me outside and it doesn't work. Very expensive piece of junk.

We bought this for a beagle who's chasing rabbits and deer, then we cant find her. Apparently, heavy foliage blocks the signal. Where do rabbits and deer live? Where do beagles go to hunt rabbits and deer? TO THE WOODS where the trees are thick and the foliage blocks the signal. It works great when she's in the yard (we don't need it there, we can see her) but it can't get a signal when she's in the woods where we can't see her.

Thins never works inside the house, close to the house or anywhere else outside the house for tracking the dog. It does track the pets steps- which is completely useless to me. I don't care my dog sleeps on average 20 hours/day and 2 hours puttering. I don't care about how many badges my dog earns. (all of which happens inside the house, which is confusing because it can't track her inside the house?!)I want something that when my dog slips out and runs away I can find her. I don't live in an overpopulated or a remote area. I am in a neighborhood with small houses- have yet to be able to find her when she slips out (she luckily comes home on her own)The other thing that bothers me is that to charge it I have to take it off the collar, pull out the velcro and be sure it lays flat on the charger. Then getting the velcro back through the little loop is difficult. This is a huge design fail. There must be a better way to fix this.

There are so many GPS dog trackers out there it can be confusing. One thing to keep in mind is for live tracking wi-fi is not the best. The best is to have a cell phone connection on the tracker it self to keep live data sent to you phone. Yes it does take a few minutes to communicate info, however if you use the app and select start a walk before you start walking about 3 mins you will have a live track and it is accurate. Another great feature is the activity part of the app ( see above ) so you can see the progress from day to day the dogs activity. This tracker includes the sim and all cell data so you will not have to pay for that anymore. Some features in app only work outside the US but it does the main job your getting it for.

Lo he comprado porque se me perdió la gatita carey ( pesa 2 kilos) 2 dÃas enteros y me juré que no me volverÃa a pasar esto. Mi gata es pequeñita pero aun asà no me parece tan grande para el servicio tan bueno que da.No querÃa un localizador con SIM y tener que pagar cada mes un plan de datos de móvil.Esto va por satélite y vale para todo el mundo. La precisión es increÃble, porque lo probé estando la gata dentro de casa y tras 2 minutos que carga en conectar con el satélite, la respuesta que me lanzó fue que el localizador solo valÃa si el gato estaba fuera del domicilio. Por lo tanto lo localizó en casa correctamente.Puedes compartir la APP en varios telefonos. Porque las mascotas tienen muchos dueños.Y otra cosa que me parece maravillosa es que esto se puede usar para personas con Alzheimer. Para localizar lo que sea. Coches, hijos cuando se van de noche de fiesta por ahÃ.... en fin las posibilidades son infinitas.Buen producto.

Ich bin vom PitPat GPS-Tracker einfach begeistert! Kein Abo und sehr leichte Handhabung! Tracker hat kaum Gewicht, ist mit Klettband sehr gut am Halsband zu montieren und funktioniert mit App einwandfrei. Der Akku hält für 4 Wochen und das ist wirklich toll! In der App kann ich die Tageskilometer sehr gut abrufen und der Standortfinder funktioniert bestens!
