Ordered this to use as a coffee creamer for a baby shower. I didn’t want to have to constantly be refilling a regular household creamer at the coffee bar. Anyway, the picture is deceiving - the bottom and inside might be some kind of stainless steel but the top rim, lid and handle are plastic and you can see the seams on the plastic. This surely cheapens the look. Also when you press the lid to come up, the hinge is too tight so the lid won’t go down so you have to push it down. Maybe I’ll put a drop of olive oil on it to see if that makes it go down automatically. With that, it is definitely not worth the price. I’m keeping it because I need it for the shower, but otherwise I would send it back.

This stainless steel gravy pitcher is excellent when serving tomato sauce or gravy. It's looks like the picture. It's not elegant and may not look right on a table with fine china, however, it holds a large sauce pan of sauce and gravy. It keeps the contents warm. Before I purchased this pitcher, the gravy boats I used didn't keep the contents warm, I was tired of going back to the stove to refill the ceramic pitchers. I highly recommend this pitcher.
