Prevents and Kills Algae in Ponds & Water Gardens

Concentrated Granular Algaecide

For control of algae in ponds, water gardens, water features, standing water, watering tanks, storage tanks and water collectors.

For spot treatment: Apply this product directly over the infested area. Re-treatment is required when heavy growth occurs.

Preventative Dose: Dependent on algae type, apply 1 to 9 tablespoons per 1,000 gallons of water by broadcast, spreader or spray dissolved solution. Apply treatments twice weekly for best results.

For severe algae bloom or infestation: Treat when growth first begins to appear if possible. Apply 1 to 9 tablespoons per 1,000 gallons of water by broadcast, spreader or spray dissolved solution. Re-treat areas if re-growth or new growth begins to appear. Allow 2 – 3 days between subsequent treatments.

Check pH levels before applying product. Product can raise pH levels. Apply early in the morning and turn off circulation during treatment. Application should be on affected areas, fountains or circulation can be turned back on after 20 minutes. Recheck pH as necessary.

We haven't used it because of the warning labels - Our pond has a waterfall that attracts multiple species of birds and one of the warning labels says the caustic ingredients may erode bird beaks, next, we live in a semi-rural place replete with Coyotes, Racoons, Opossums, squirrels, rabbits, etc., and our family dog along with the neighbor's dog that jumps our 6' fence from time to time, that drink from the pond and waterfall. I am not returning the product because it was my fault that I didn't read the label on the website. I am still giving this a 5 star because it was received a day sooner than promised, the container arrived in "new" condition and after reading the instructions, there is no doubt that this sttuff probably works better than anything else on the market.It's almost like if you use this stuff you are taking a chance that

Just make sure you clean the pond after as it will leave a lot of dead algae at the bottom.

The product has to be applied to submerged algae-covered surfaces to be effective. It had little effect on water clarity. After two careful applications, the algae on rocks and other surfaces has improved, but has not been resolved. Next time I might opt for a product that can be added to the running water in our water feature, rather than sprinkled on submerged rocks.

Useless for string algae. Been using for a week, absolutely no results-zip, zero, nada. Followed directions, increased dose again and again. Zero result. Only good thing is my fish did not die.
