Update (8/6/22): The first image shows the rapid charger (green), but I received the lower cost/power, wall adapter version. knocking off 1-star for that incorrect information; 4-stars.Update (8/5/22): Used this for a PV/solar project; I had put down some resin to waterproof the panel, but it was too thick in a few spots, so used some (orange) wet/dry 400 grit. Elected NOT to use the hole punch, so that it would not suck water up into the dust collection system. Also used a 4.0 vs. the 2.0 Ah battery, since it's just slightly heavier, it stays put a little easier while sanding. Only ONE speed setting (ON/OFF). One tip: when clipping in the sand paper, I attached one side, then back the two bends, then unclip that side, and switch to the other; the difference is that once you have the 2nd side locked in, the first side is already creased and ready to clip in. Overall I was very impressed with the functionality and power of this 1/4-sheet sander.Summary: Greenworks brand was founded in the USA in 2009 (but this tool is made in China). My go to power tool brand is Milwaukee, M12 and M18 Fuel, so I'll be making some comparison there. Also Vine reviewed the other Greenworks tools below. Also recently bought a Milwaukee M18 orbital sander.Observations: Right off the bat, Greenworks is not quite as good as Milwaukee in my opinion. I have been a diehard Milwaukee fan, so I ordered this to evaluate the Greenworks 24V offering. Overall, I am impressed with the overall fit & finish. Both Milwaukee and Greenworks are head and shoulders over the Chinese lithium offerings, especially when it comes to raw power; the Chinese drivers just cannot break anything loose, especially above 100 foot pounds (for impact drivers).Recommendations: These power tools really make economic sense when you can get multiple tools with the same battery. When I first got into power tools, I did months of research, and ended up going with Milwaukee. However, the Greenworks 24V line would be more than sufficient for the average homeowner's project needs, especially given the wide range of available tools.Recommendations: With any cutting tool, and a sander is no exception, let the tool do the work; generally applying more force may speed up the job, at the expense of tool life and possibly injury.Pros: Lithium power, power indicator; carrying case, one standard 2.0AH battery; includes a few sheets of sandpaper. This one also features the newer/larger charger (verses the old AC adapter clip on one).Cons: Less popular than Milwaukee. Conclusion: At $100, I'm rating this one 5-stars, and recommending it, especially if you're adding to an existing Greenworks 24 volt collection.Related Products:Greenworks 24V Cordless SDS 1.2J Rotary Hammer, 1-Inch Brushless Hammer Drill for Concrete, 2-Mode and Variable Speed, 4AH Battery & Charger Included4.4 out of 5 stars 20 ratings $124.23https://www.amazon.com/Gre/dp/B09B2FD5ZGGreenworks 24V Cordless Impact Driver Kit, 1/4-inch Hex, 1950 in./lbs Torque ~ $100https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B7J94S7Greenworks 24V Cordless Heat Gun ~ $100https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B39DS6PGreenworks 24V Portable Air Compressor ~ $100https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FK43MCFGreenworks 24V Angle Grinder ~ $100https://www.amazon.com/Greenworks-Grinder-Cordless-Battery-Charger/dp/B09B2HGZ5YGreenworks 24V Brushless Impact Wrench - 1/2 inch ~ $100https://www.amazon.com/Greenworks-24V-Brushless-Impact-Wrench/dp/B09DCGQTYB

I have tested a number of battery powered sanders. Most are good and work ok.This one popped up so I gave it a try. Wow. This is a much higher quality than the others.First it's a 'Greenworks' They are really making an impression with everything from tools to side-by-sides and zero-turn mowers. This is a great addition to their lineup. It charges with a top mount quick charger that tells you if its' charging or is charged. See picture. They do give you a few sample 1/4 sheets but I have large quantities of different grits so I was going to use them. They do not have the needed dust holes but Greenworks took care of that too! They include a vent hole punch which I have not seen before. You simple mount the sheet with the spring tabs and then tip the corner into the corner with the two walls (see picture) and rock the unit down onto the spikes, punching the vent holes. To test the pattern I used an old table with varnish on it. It has a sort-of random pattern but there is a distinct coil pattern in it. It took it down fast and very smooth. This is my 'Keeper' sander. It doesn't have a case but I have a stand for it anyway. for travel to a park I volunteer in, I have a Dewalt tool bag that I use.I know this is a bit pricier than a lot of the sanders out there but it is a Greenworks which means the batteries are available. That alone is a great feature but also the tool itself is a high quality tool.
