This was easy to install (5 minutes with a philips screwdriver) and the instructions were well written. All the parts fit right and were of good quality. The only critical connections are color coded and if you have any degree of handiness I'm sure you can do it without reading them.The only ding, and I didn't even take a star away for this, is that the control unit plastic screw holes didn't fit inside the screw holes in the metal grill side. This made it take an extra 20 seconds to install, no big deal, but they should fit for convenience.This works fine with a rechargeable eneloop you just don't get as long a life of it as with a 1.5v alkaline.Excellent rapid spark right from the get go, lights on the first click every time. Old weber brand igniter lasted 12 years, I'll update this review to see how long I get out of this one.

I can't speak to the instructions, because I just followed a video on Youtube. I will say that the product seems to be of good quality and was an exact fit. I was able to install this in about 15 minutes with no issues and it works perfectly. Time will tell how long it lasts, but given the very reasonable price I am not concerned.

While the product does work as intended, the instructions aren't the best. I suggest doing is what I did by taking the old one apart in sections and look closely at how the wires are to be hooked up. Then assemble in stages. I began with the igniter button first, attached the igniter to the burner which can be tricky, run the wires in a similar way as the old ones were attached and then mount the box after everything is connected. With this product the battery goes in just the opposite of the original weber igniter. Instructions don't tell you that. Not all that hard to do but simply take your time and it can be done fairly easy.

This was an exact match for my original igniter. I decided not to use the included new wires, just connected the existing ones to the terminals of this new igniter. Very straightforward to install. Now my 15 yo grill seems good as new!

I gave this a rating of 3 because the first one they sent didn't work. Very frustrating. I contacted Amazon and requested it to be returned and replaced. I had no problem with this. The new igniter came in the mail the next day and we installed it. It was a bit tricky, but we watched how to do it on uTube and that helped. There were no instructions that came with the igniter. After some fooling around with it, we got it to work. I am happy with the second one and it works fine. They price is very good and the delivery service exceptional.

Arrived quickly. I inserted it into a 2008 Weber Genesis 320 (an older model). Watched a Youtube video to see how its done. Worked beautifully ! The BBQ looks and works like its new.

This starter works but it doesn't work as well as the original. It takes more attempts to get the burners to light. Eventually it lights so it does what it's supposed to.
