Way nicer, lighter and cheaper than buying a new nicad battery. Easy to install. Note…taking them apart, 2 tabs on the bottom bend down a little.

Other than the LED lighting, this emergency light appeared to be a close design copy of the name brand/supply house unit I installed 25 years ago. The quality of plastic is durable and not likely to break during installation or servicing, and light heads are super bright compared to the old 6v incandescent bulbs. The red LED in the test button is bright enough to provide a useful night light from a residential ceiling height. Installation was straightforward and quick, though I had to drill one hole to mount to the single gang electrical box that existed on my wall. This is atypical as a round or hexagonal box is usually seen for rough in wiring and the many existing mounting holes will line up. No heavy sealed lead acid battery is a plus. The batteries in my units are Nickel Metal Hydride not Lithium Ion unlike what I saw stated by a customer on this site. I doubt there is a functional advantage to either in this particular application, but I think the former may be cheaper to replace if the unlikely need arises.

Well made. Installation is pretty easy - wires are pretty short but clearly marked. Should point point out that the fixture itself is super light. Once installed the light is pretty bright. Easy to adjust - you point LEDS in whatever direction - kind of cool. Battery capacity is the only thing that i did not like - rather small capacity. Battery is 3 elements, and i do not think it would last very long.What i liked about it1. decently made and pretty light2. arrived packaged well with instructions manual3. adjustable LEDsNeutral1. battery capacityRecommend as product works well, and for as long as you understand that battery might not last very long

These look just like old lead/acid battery type we had so they went right into place and no paint lines showing. These are so much brighter and very lightweight. I will order more when it's time to replace the rest. Seems pretty well made and I believe they will last years.

Once you mount the base plate, it can be a little awkward to attach the battery connector to the board while holding up the lamp housing assy. Not imposable to do, having fat fingers does not help.
