This is how much wire should cost. Perfectly good wire. Casing got mauled by a ratchet, but that was completely my fault and understandable.

I have soldered this into proto-boards and used it for several amps of power, even used it as speaker wire. It does the job! I never had any problems soldering it nor has it broken down on me in the year I've used it indoors. It is just normal copper-clad-aluminum wire. Maybe not super fancy but totally useable as wire. I have used the 18ga and the 12ga wire.I measured 40ft of the 18ga wire at 0.9Ω ohms resistance, plus or minus 0.1Ω. So, about 0.0225Ω per foot, probably less.

Item arrived quickly as per normal with amazon. Wire is not copper, it is copper clad aluminum, my fault I guess for not reading the fine print, and I should have known better just from the price alone.

This is just what I needed and at a reasonable price. I will use this wire to internally wire led yard lights. Wire appears flexable and should work fine for my application.

When I first received the wire I thought I had only gotten one half what I bought. But after using more that half what I purchased I see that the roll was actually just miss labeled. It was a good deal.
