If you collect silver, this is a necessity. It has already paid for itself by discovering one piece of "silver" that turned out to be silver in color only. It's compact, and comes with everything except for a silver slide, which can be made from quality strong, flat magnets glued to a small board. The one I made fits inside the box that this kit comes in. I'm very happy and confident in my purchases now that I can verify the metals.

This set everything you’ll need to testing gold , silver and platinum. So easy the use. Use gloves as recommended in instructions. The acid can burn you. It’s amazing how much of my jewelry is gold plated or gold filed. Jewelry I thought was gold toned and ready to donate. It’s a handy kit to have. Recommend

Very dissapointed for it seems the set is old... I have tried the silver testing several times with even 999 silver but it does not respond to anything... Very annoying as I bought the testset specially for the silver testing. A lot of money for something that is simply not working.
