The Guardian Fall Protection "Extension Lanyards" are attached to the harness before use to lower the lanyard attachment point to waist level. This product is particularly ideal for workers who cannot comfortably reach the dorsal D-ring on their harness. This version of the product comes with a snaphook end.

This does exactly what it is meant to do; a high quality product that makes attaching a rope to a harness so much easier.One minor issue though, if you're using this attached to a harness AND have a tool belt, it does cause the rope to catch under the tool belt, especially hammers etc that might be hanging from it. It can get very annoying. I stopped using this for that purpose when I needed to wear the belt.But other than that, it's a very highly recommended product.You will notice the weight of this too, so bear that in mind.

I bought this because the D-ring where you tie off on my harness is too hard for me to reach. This extension, or "cheater", as most construction workers would call it has made it easy and accessible for me to tie and untie from my harness at any point when necessary. I would recommend this item for anyone with the same problem. I can't honestly say how well it holds up or how reliable it is when it's used in a fall, but hopefully ill never have to find out either. I have confidence in the construction and material of this product and trust it would save my life in the case of a fall.

Product works just as described. Allows you to hook/unhook easily from your lifeline or lanyard. Quality of product is good, see no issues. After seeing me wear this, some of my co-workers purchased. Currently on a job that requires harnesses and 100% tie off.

Well... once I walked 8ft to a cut table to cut a board because I couldn't reach my d ring with my coat and sweater on in cold snowy windy weather. Sooo annoyed i bought this to make my life easier. Apparently I don't have monkey arms and I don't do yoga so I'm not flexible. But this helps. I can attach myself to retractable easily.

These are good as a short fall arrest harness back lug extension. Not everyone can reach over their heads to their back to hook up a life line. They are 18" long.
