I have been playing music for almost six decades and throughout the years cables have changed. You wouldn't think that a design so simple could really have much variation in both form and function but that is not the case. Over the years cables have evolved from simple throwaways to various conductive combinations. With the advent of computers and digital equipment the evolution of the instrument cable has changed not always for the better. The market is inundated with cheap and shoddy multi-purpose cables that don't take into account the physics and electronic requirements but rather provide a replica of a cable without the science. Particularly today, with all the sensitive aspects of electronic recording a bad cable can effect your sound more than ever. The cable is made well. The braiding is tight and there were no visible flaws or loose threading. The description states that the material is infused with Kevlar for higher durability. While there is no way that I can verify that I can say that this particular instrument cable is somewhat harder than most other cables that I am using. It also has some residence in the bend which in my experience is another positive sign. This cable did not use speaker wire like so many other cables do today. At the end of the day speaker cables are not instrument cables and using them as such will effect your sound so if that is something that is important to you avoid using the wrong kind. It does make a difference. The connectors look generic to me though they are a little "heavier" than other cable connectors I have. The description states that these are specifically Rean Connectors from Neutrik on the 25ft cable but nothing about the smaller cable. The one I am reviewing is the 9.9ft cable and I do not believe that these connectors are anything more than slightly superior generic connectors. One positive aspect is that the connectors are replaceable should they become damaged. I have had many busted connectors over the years mostly from people stepping on them so having the option of replacing them is a good thing. They are shrink-wrapped and set very well so even though I can't see the solder job underneath the overall "tightness" of the connectors indicates it is as well done as the rest of the connector.I tested the cable for both continuity and noise. Using a standard hand-held continuity meter the cable was clear. Most cables have no problem with continuity so that was not a surprise. After that test I plugged the cable into a guitar, a bass, and a keyboard running the signal through an oscilloscope. The readings were consistent in wave form and the loss readings were all well within normal parameters. The signal came through without any buzzing, interference, or gremlins haunting the machine.I was satisfied with my order. This instrument cable is well made, seems quite durable (time will tell), and performs as it should. The price on this item reflects the quality and is commensurate with brand name cables of similar quality. If you are looking for a quality cable and am willing to pay a little more for better quality then this should satisfy you.

This seems to be a good quality product. The cable is a fabric instead of vinyl or poly. The ends are a solid molding with Rean Connectors from Neutrik. One end is a 90 deg so not sticking out where it can be damaged. Apparently, this is a Kevlar covered cable making it virtually bullet-proof!All in all, this seems to be a decent TS cable.I definitely recommend the AA AUDIO ACCESSORY Guitar Cable from Amazon....

I like to have a couple of guitar cables in my gig bag just in case and with my guitar—and Explorer type—the right-angle connectors work best, so I gave this a try.Overall, it's a great cable. It's definitely not as robust as my highest-quality cable, but it is a fraction of the price. The cable has a nice feel—not too stiff, not too bendy—and the connectors seem to be of decent quality. We'll see how they hold up over time, but so far, so good. That said, I'd highly recommend this cable.
