Received this over the weekend and I agree with the first reviewer, works well and knowing the actual humidity level is fan freakin’ tastic. However with my Yamaha Transacoustic I did need to cut a little rubber shim from a gasket making kit to place in the divot beneath the supplier’s logo in order seal the Soundhole more effectively. Fit my Guild 12 string perfectly (so I just ordered a second one). Was too large for a my Guild F30. Would be great to see some other sizes.

This set comes with a 10 ml squeeze bottle with a steel tip to allow you to inject water into its four water holes. The instructions say to put between 2 and 2.5 ml in each hole. How? I have nothing that can measure accurately down to 2 ml. Nor can you accurately put 1/4 of the toy bottle's water content in each hole. I used a weight scale set to milliliters and started with 10 ml in the bottle. Then weighed it after three squeezes and again weighing after each squeeze until I got the bottle down to 8 ml, then to 6 ml then 4 ml then empty. When I then went to put the device into the sound hole of my guitar it was too big. The instructions don't tell you, but with some trial and error I realized I could remove the rubber outer part of the device, then insert that alone into the sound hole, forcing it onto the wood all the way around. There is a slot in the rubber for this. Then the device fit in the middle of that rubber ring. They might have told me to do that. So in terms of ease of use, not so good. Too soon to know how long the water lasts and how well it maintains humidity.

I’ve replaced my Kyser soundhole humidifiers with these gems for my Martins. They work very well and show reliable/accurate humidity values. It’s easy to keep your expensive acoustic guitars well humidified with these. These are a game changer IMHO. highly recommended.
