I purchased the ZARPAX Gun Safe Dehumidifier Rod for use in my DIY filament storage cabinet, and it has been an excellent addition to my setup. I wanted a reliable way to keep my 3D printer filament dry and free from moisture, and this product delivered beyond my expectations.Pros:• Effective Moisture Control: It works perfectly to maintain low humidity in the cabinet, keeping my filaments dry and preventing any warping or print quality issues.• Compact and Space-Saving: The slim, rod-shaped design fits effortlessly into the cabinet without taking up much room, which is especially important when storing multiple spools.• Consistent Performance: It heats evenly and gently, effectively reducing humidity without overheating. I’ve been using it for weeks, and the difference in moisture levels is noticeable.• Plug-and-Play: The installation was straightforward. Just plug it in, and it starts working immediately. No complicated setup or maintenance is required.Minor Considerations:• Warm to the Touch: While it doesn’t get dangerously hot, it does get warm, so be mindful of where you place it to avoid contact with sensitive materials.• Requires Power Source: You’ll need an accessible outlet for continuous operation, but that’s expected for this type of product. The ZARPAX Dehumidifier Rod has been a game-changer for my filament storage. It’s reliable, effective, and easy to use—everything you need to protect your investment in 3D printing materials. If you’re looking for a simple and efficient solution to control moisture, whether for a gun-safe or a DIY project like mine, this is worth it!

I'm trying the product to see if it can provide a little heat to keep fresh water from freezing in the bilge of a boat in storage, in winters on the US east coast, at a latitude equivalent to Richmond, VA.I used a cross sections of aluminum gutter, bent to fit bilge shapes, to create standoffs to keep the warm pipe from touching fiberglass and other boat parts. The product works as claimed, gentle heat, pipes are too hot to hold for very long with bare hands. Quality looks good. Power cord is about four feet long.

Buen aparato para evitar la humedad en los closet. La manera de colocarlo no es efectiva, pues trae una almohadilla para pegar, los cuartos húmedos no resisten cosas pegadas en las paredes.

Will probably order another at some point so I can have one up top and on bottom. Mounted mine to back wall behind firearms. Gets warm fast! 10/10

24†model easily installed in small gun safe. holds humidity at 30% and temperature currently at 72 degrees F. Installation required a hole drilled in my safe wall to accommodate the electrical cord, a rubber grommet and splicing the wires together once inserted into the safe. The heater rod is not uncomfortably hot, but I set it up for non contact with any flammable source. Should be a great aid in preventing rust.Revision of original review:Opened safe this morning and the rod had separated at the middle folding junction due to the glue softening. I had placed it horizontally across two shelves, one shelf on each wall separated space in the middle. The rod fell open and the heating element pulled out and was hanging down. Too hot to touch. I was thankful it didn’t burn anything in the safe. I don’t think this is a quality way to join the fittings to the tubing. Unsafe for a safe unless fully supported.

I got this for my toolbox, it keeps falling off. I replaced the tape and it still keeps falling off. First the tape that it came with would fall off then the new tape fell off the mounting.
