Ordered these to swap with chrome set on a kit bass. A bit of an upgrade as the screws are better quality and did not strip out during installation, which is an issue I've encountered on some other inexpensive tuners. Not the greatest gear ratio but they work fine and stay in tune and hard to beat for the price.

THEY'RE HUGE!!! Quite a bit bigger on the back of the headstock than I thought they would be, but no big deal. They work great and hold tune just fine. I had to drill new holes, but they're big enough to cover the old ones, so there are no unsightly holes on the back of the headstock.UPDATE: I bought a second set to install for a customer. Evidently, korean-made squiers have smaller headstocks because the G tuner over hangs the edge by quite a bit. I had to purchase a set of smaller tuners. So, be aware that if you have a Korean-made squier to get another set of tuners.

The quality of these machines are fantastic. I had to return them because they were too large for my Squier bass. I was really bummed they wouldn’t work.I hope they can soon make tuning machines with the Squier/Fender HWY51-spec peg & plate with the same high gear ratio.

After trying a couple of different kinds of Fender tuners that did not not fit my bass, I settled on these which fit perfectly. Let's be honest here, these are cheap tuners and they feel like cheap tuners. However, they look nice and they get the job done. Turning them can be a little stiff and jerky, but overall they work well enough, they are very affordable, and if better tuners just don't fit your instrument, these might be the right size. Given the same situation, I'd buy these again.

They are cheap stamped metal tuners. I bought and installed them because I was interested in black hardware for my PJ Bass build. The action is very stiff. The screws that come with the set are cheap. One broke off even though I drilled the correct pilot hole and used wax to lubricate them. I am reverting back to the vintage look of chrome and I am buying a set of Fender Vintage tuners. The same as on my Fender P Bass here on Amazon for $80. . Smooth action and beautiful finish and no mounting screws to worry over........

So these tuners seem pretty stable. They hold tune very well! The only problem I had was that the screw holes were not the same as the fender tuners of the original. But nothing that wasn't able to be overcome by I still and some new holes. But I really am impressed with these tuners

Did a diy build of a p bass. Upgraded the tuning pegs with these dudes. Easy to install, and really helped make the bass look more like a p bass.
