Very powerful. I use it at camp to prime my electric pump. Just a couple pumps and it gets the ekectric going. Dont understand some of the complaints, i find it to be a very good build quality. I can only assume some of the complexity happened due to freezing. Sorry but you cant go against the laws of physics. They only have themselves to blame and they likely know it and are just frustrated so they come on here and bash an otherwise excellent product

I planted a small grove of trees near a farm pond but lugging water to them with a bucket was not a pleasant idea. The idea of hooking up a gas-powered pump was tremendous overkill. I found this type of hand pump and settled on the Guzzler. I do not know how it compares to much more inexpensive models or to those that cost much more but this one is certainly working for me. I wanted to have the pump solidly supported but also wanted to easily remove the pump to store out of the elements or move it to other locations. For the base – I was going to sink a post, but I happened to have a big log and a tractor, so the choice was easy. I also had a scrap piece of 1x8, so I cut two pieces from this, overlapping the edge of the log just a bit. I screwed one of the pieces down to the log and the second piece I bolted to the guzzler with 1/4x 1 ½ inch hex head bolts. These could have been shorter, but it really didn’t matter. Once the guzzler was bolted down to the top, I just pressed the top board down against the bottom to make imprints of the bolt locations and then used a 5/8†paddle bit to cut into the bottom piece to receive the bolts and nuts from the “guzzler boardâ€. The two boards are then easily locked together using two small clamps. I used the “hose†ends on the guzzler and screwed on to each end a brass quick connect coupling just to reduce wear on the plastic guzzler fittings. On the intake hose, I placed a check valve with a strainer and put some foam pipe insulation around the end of the hose just to keep the intake just below the water surface. A pool noodle would do the same, but the pipe insulation already had a split along the side. The slight problem with the intake hose is that it was new, and the “curl†was annoying in the water. The pump and hoses can be set up and disassembled in seconds but are very solid in operation. The pump easily lifts water from the pond and applies it to the trees. I am very happy with the purchase so far.

Nicely made. Works well. Manufacturer has many accessories and variations of this pump at very reasonable prices.

Right out of the box it didn't look like it was worth what I paid for it.In all honesty, I didn't set it up because I was afraid to break it and not be eligible for refund.

I understand a water pump should be plastic to hold up over time, but this feels like a toy and the performance matches. The rubber bladder is a joke and instantly leaks. The handle feels like it will snap in your hands and I had to go so easy on it or it absolutely would have. The design is fine, but just cheap cheap cheap. I really don't understand what use case this would be good for. If you have a gallon of liquid to move and don’t feel like lifting? If you want to work twice as hard as you should?

We live off of wells. Losing prime can be a big pain in restoring using buckets of water. With this, getting the prime working again take minutes. Works like a charm!!!! :-)

This product simply did not work. The chamber was inflating and deflating in a lopsided manner and no water was pumped through. We had multiple pump-experienced persons attempt to troubleshoot it in a myriad of ways but to no avail.
