HAAG Engineering was fined $100,000 by the Federal government for submitting false documentation to help State Farm avoid paying Hurricane Katrina claims on regular policies and categorize them as flood claims. HAAG has been found by several juries to be hired by insurers specifically because HAAG is biased and will help deny claims. These shingle gauges are inaccurate and consistently give false readings. They cannot be relied upon for consistent, accurate readings.
