Used this for a small keyboard soldering project. Super easy to use and the concept of this tool is simple. This did tire my thumb out after a while so beware of that. Overall, super easy to use coming from a beginner. Would recommend.

Initial impression review:Very smooth operation. One handed operation is easy if you have large hands. The plunger takes quite a bit of force to push down. Comes up almost silently. It is easy to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning. As with most of my Japanese made tools, every part seems well thought out and very high quality.The only design flaw I found is that the knurling doesn't go far enough up toward the button. When you are trying to hold it for fine control it you have to hold it close to the button. The metal body is smooth there and it slipped partly out of my hand causing me to fumble around the hot tip of the soldering iron.I used it in desoldering a guitar wiring harness. There were some pretty large globs of solder on the pots. It pulled them up without difficulty and without clogging.Most of the solder it sucks up comes back out when you reset it. I got the tip pretty close to the soldering iron tip and didn't have any melt.How it will perform over time I can't say. But the design and manufacturing quality seem excellent. If it fails on me down the road, I'll be back with an edit.

Well built replacement for my old solder sucker. This one should last a long time. It is easy to use and easy to clean out.

If you need a solder sucker, this is an excellent one. While slightly larger than the “common/standard†version available from multiple sellers, it creates a much greater vacuum. The tool is easy to use and clear of old solder.

This is my first time using this type of de-solderer. Seems to work better than the copper wick stuff. I couldn't get the solder removed from a PCB with that stuff but this thing did it.Only downside over the wick is you have to heat the area with a torch vs touching just the wick/solder, so you have to cover all the components around the points with heat resistant tape to protect them.

If you need to remove solder joints, just buy this thing. I've used the suckers that cost less, the desoldering braids,etc... and they were fine but needed several uses on each joint before the solder would really be gone. This one works so well that it usually clears the solder joint right off the PCB on the first pass. The nozzle is really heat resistant. If you have small hands, it might be a little tricky to lock the plunger down using only one hand. For me, it's golden. Huge time savings. Worth every last cent.

Ho tolto dei condensatori con un mare di stagno in pochissimo tempo. Essendo lunga la leva a volte non si riesce a fare scendere lo stantuffo, ma di contro la lunga leva è la sua efficacia. Das Hakko Sppon 20g war dafür gedacht um etwas zu entlöten, und es hat diesen Job perfekt gemacht.Alles hat super gut und unkompliziert funktioniert.Die Saugkraft war sehr stark, nur ein kurzes ranhalten und entpumpen hat gereicht um die ganze lötstelle rauszusaugen.Es hat keinen Nachteil und der Preis von 20 Euro ist mehr als gerechtfertigt für dieses Produkt!Große Weiterempfehlung!

This is a well made, and powerful solder sucker. It pulled all the solder out of the components I was removing, even large lugs. Made the removal much easier.The only quibble (and probably why it works so well) is that it is taller than my old one, and as such I find my thumb doesn't quite reach the top of the plunger (maybe I have small hands). However as the sucking power is so impressive I'll happily live with that quibble.
