How to Use
1. Please cut the rock wool into cubes according to your own needs with a knife before soaking.
2. Please simply soak the rockwool cube briefly (10 sec) in a nutrient solution to adjust its EC value and pH value. Don't squeeze it!
3. Use pH paper to make sure that its pH is in the desired range for your seeds. The optimum pH for most plant seeds is around 5.5.
4. Control the suitable moisture, illumination and temperature to improve the germination rate of seeds.
5. When the robust roots penetrate through the rock wool about 0.5-1 inches, transplant it into a suitable container.
Warm Tips:
The rock wool cubes are formed by compression of transverse wire and the stratification is normal. When cutting, please use a wallpaper knife or scissors. In the process of use, please make sure that it is completely cut.

I bought these for my aquaponics lab and they are a great medium to work with. Def recommend wearing gloves when handling because otherwise the material can get in your skin and be irritating.

This works good. Holds moisture good. Only issue I have is that it falls apart too easy when cutting it into individual pieces. Even with a sharp razor.

I guess they work I wasn’t too happy with it. They were a bit small, but those are the ones I ordered the problem was you can’t break them apart they rip in all different spots. No I won’t be purchasing these again.

I decided to try the rockwool cubes for my hydroponic system, but they were a letdown from the start. The cubes were far too brittle and broke apart as I tried to use them, making the setup process frustrating. The plugs didn’t hold seedlings well and kept collapsing, which hindered germination. After just a few days, I noticed that the cubes weren’t retaining moisture as expected, leaving my plants struggling to get enough water. The product seemed to be of poor quality compared to other rockwool cubes I’ve used in the past, with a flimsy texture that didn’t hold up under normal use. Moreover, there was an unpleasant chemical smell when I soaked them, which was concerning for the health of my plants. The package was also poorly sealed, and some of the cubes were already damaged before I even opened it. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone serious about hydroponics—it’s a waste of money and time.
