The BASEPLEX series 3968 comprises the insert combination of cellulose acetate / nylon. The red cellulose acetate insert is both hard and oil and grease resistant. The white nylon insert is even slightly harder than the red one and also wear-resistant. Made of high-quality zinc die-cast, the body comes with an overstrike protector and a technically advanced holder for the inserts. The wooden handle is ergonomic and varnished. The inserts and the handle are replaceable. This version is available in sizes ranging from D25mm to D50mm.

I am really impressed with this hammer, it has a nice handle and great balance. As soon as it arrived, I immediately put it to work on a restoration project I was working on and it was great to use.

This is a compact mallet. Like for making small furniture. It's powerful because all the weights in the head. So if you swing it you can apply some power. But I imagine this will be more suited to light tapping of things into place

I bought this hammer as a smaller version of a Halder hammer I already owned. The handle is pretty skinny on this version but works fine for the light work you will use a hammer of this type for. What I would have preferred is to get two head materials which weren't so similar in hardness. I know they are replaceable, and for my larger hammer I have like 6 choices- but overall the red plastic, and white delrin material used on this hammer are nearly identical in hardness, would have preferred either the black or blue rubber material just for a softer option. Otherwise, no complaints.

I do sheetmetal for a living and I needed a hammer like this so I wouldn't scratch the finish . It did its job but it is small and the head broke off. It is what it is.

I like how the top center of the mallet doesn't extend past the heads.

Size is fine, but no soft rubber head. I had to use a sponge on top of item to hit to dampen impact of the hammer. I can’t even change heads if my life depended on it.

acheté pour de la mecanique moto / quad, je peux taper sur carter alu et autre sans marquer le supportsuffisament lourd pour une bonne prehension et force de frappe sans rebonds.il existe de nombreuses variantes. j'ai choisi tete blanche nylon et tete rouge en plastique dur transparent.ce modele ne se demonte pas mais il est pas cher, vous pouvez avoir le meme avec tete remplacables mais pour le double du prix..super affaire, ca me change la vie j'ai arreté d'acheter des maillets chez kastormama ou la reine merlin , etc...vous avez la bas de la camelotte pour le meme prix
