Great for new construction projects in lieu of a can or housing. Using this mounting frame, you can easily reserve space in the ceiling for your lighting fixture and provide routing guidance for the drywall contractor. This mounting frame works for round and square Halo direct mount lighting fixtures (including HLB, HLA, RLDM and RADM product families). Attach the driver junction box to the building structure and use this fixture to meet local code requirements where install from below fixtures must be supported directly by building structure.

These were perfect for Ensenior 6†halo Led lights. Was able to mount them to the rafters prior to drywall so I could test and see where I wanted my lights before making mistakes in new drywall! My only complaint is you can only order 8 in a day so I had to order in batches. But it was worth it!

This was the perfect solution for hanging cannless LED lights in my lower level drop ceiling vinyl tile. They sit nicely on the ceiling grid and make centering the lights easy. They carry the weight of the lights since the tiles are very thin and light. Highly recommended.

Well, here's the scoop on the HALO HL6RSMF Mounting Frame. In our goofy family, we're always happy to try new things; it keeps the circus (aka our life) interesting. We decided to test this mounting frame out for recessed lighting cans, give our home a little techy vibe. But let me tell you, folks, this thing couldn't swing it. It's like trying to jam a square peg in a round hole (or more accurately, a circular can in a square slot!).On the plus side, it seems sturdy and well built. It's got all the steel and silver finishes you could want, making it look more premium than its price tag suggests. But if you're prepping your space for drywall and planning to install recessed cans later, you might wanna sit this dance out.Live and learn, right? So, fellow Amazonians - if you're jumping the canless light bandwagon, this could be a decent shot. But for the can-lovers among us - it's a no from me! Wishing you better luck than I had in your home improvement adventures. Keep the circus rolling!
