They work as advertised. It is a simple device; but the knock off versions get it wrong. These folks got it right.

I used these to install network and cable panels in homes that were already finished. Very simple to use especially if the distance between walls is very short.

There is a little bump where the screws are, so if you mark the wall with the provided dots, and cut perfectly, it will have trouble fitting, but a little pressure and it went in fine. As you can see I got these for Ethernet jacks, and everything fit fine. I do wonder if the threads will hold up if I have to take the face plate off and on as it felt like I was cutting the threads as I screwed on the plate, but I don't think I'll have to remove it often.

If you think it’s even remotely tight, stop tightening. They snap as soon as they get snugged down.

Mounting ethernet ports in my office down to my living room so that I can move my modem/gateway to a better location for the rest of my home. These will serve that need as expected.

These work great if you have to install cable, telephone, networking, even a plug in. It's just with a plug you have to brace the wire, not sure it's code. Works really good for audio visual hook ups, The price is very reasonable.

Une prise Videotron et le résultat est excellent, aucune difficulté a l'installer. Je recommande ce produit qui élimine un petit problème de plaque.

I've installed hundreds and hundreds of low voltage plates over the years. These are very very similar to certain orange, much more expensive ones. They are perfect for running speaker wires, data cables, anything low voltage, and they snug up well in the drywall... just don't overtighten them, because they will warp out of square. The expensive ones do it too! It's not a fault with THESE ones, it's just the nature of a flexible plastic frame. As long as it's not jiggling freely, it's tight enough. Your faceplate will snug everything up at the final finishing stage. These are a much more economical, equally effective low voltage plate and I can't see me going back to the orange ones any time soon.

This is a pack of low voltage mounting brackets. If you’re not running electrical cable and instead are running Ethernet, HDMI, speaker, etc. cable then you don’t require a full electrical box. You only need a bracket like this one, just to provide something for the wallplates’ screws to attach to.No instructions are included, but there are instructions in the listing. Basically, once you make the hole, there are two “wings†at the top and bottom that push against the drywall once you tighten it with the screws. The only issue is that the wings are blocked from rotating fully and these blockers are approximately 1-3/4†deep. Therefore, you will need that much room behind the wall. Normally, this is not a problem, but you might have some blocking (wood between studs) or other obstructions that might get in the way.
